R.A.M Introduction

Would you make your own PS3 theme, but you find that too complicated? That time is now past with Rich Appearance Maker by Armprime Industry!

There is a Camera, two Lights, 3D Objects (DAE), Textures (DDS/JPG), Actors (Entities) and a Script. For program of your dynamic theme, you have to use the PSJS programming language, a fusion of JavaScript and PS3 libraries.

PlayStation Suite Developer Program SDK Now Open Beta, FAQ Out

131w ago - Following up on the previous announcement and GDC 2012 presentation, today Sony has officially launched the PlayStation Suite SDK v0.98 as Open Beta alongside an FAQ below!

The PlayStation Suite SDK had previously been in Closed Beta since November last year, but now the free SDK is available for anyone to download, and one notable addition to the Open Beta is that it allows for content to be developed for the PS Vita too.

What developers can expect from this release is:

  • The ability to create games and apps for touchscreen and physical button devices.
  • Test and debug what they have developed on PlayStation Certified Devices and the PlayStation Vita.

MLB TV is Ready for Opening Day 2012 on PlayStation Network

134w ago - Sony Director of Marketing Brandon Stander has announced today that MLB TV is ready for opening day 2012 on PlayStation Network!

To quote: Seems like we were just watching David Freese and the St. Louis Cardinals make a dramatic comeback to beat the Texas Rangers in 7 games to win the 2011 World Series.

And now, here we are, standing in the on-deck circle of the 2012 season waiting to see who will step up and lead their teams into the playoffs and become this year's World Series hero.

And, just in time for the opening series games between the Athletics and Mariners in Tokyo, all the Major League Baseball action can once again be watched with the new [Register or Login to view links] application for the PS3, now available on PSN.

Good evening, everyone! Proudly I present you my newest application "PSN Infinity v2".

Since in most news posts my co-coder genius iQD is forgotten, I have to mention him for his great help on this application here once again.

This version is released as public beta. Completing the app and including all functions I want it to have will take several weeks but the main function aka browsing the PSN stores is already working.

This is the first time I force a donation alert in an app, but necessary as this program is a very huge and time consuming project.

So if you like this beta, please donate a small amount to give me some more time to work...
 

PlayStation Suite SDK Open to Developers in April, PS Vita Support

137w ago - Following up on our previous article, today Engadget (linked above) reports that Sony's PlayStation Suite will be open to all developers beginning in April with PS Vita support followed by a full SDK coming afterwards.

The PS Suite SDK will allow licensed developers to create and run performance testing on all PlayStation-certified Android smartphones and tablets as well as the PS Vita.

This SDK Beta will be free of charge, while the official version will come later this year and require a $99 annual subscription in return for allowing devs to make their wares commercially available on Sony's platform.
