Reaper is Coming to PlayStation Vita as Free-to-Play Action RPG

50°
7w ago - Creative Director Luc Bernard announced today alongside a PlayStation Vita video trailer that Reaper is coming to PS Vita as a free-to-play action RPG!

To quote: Hello, I'm Luc Bernard. I'm the creative director, and art director, and - well - I look after many other roles on Reaper for PS Vita. Now this is my first time doing a post on Playstation.Blog, so it may sound a bit all over the place!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but years ago Reaper was announced back in 2010 for Playstation Portable. The title had to be put on hold for a while sadly, but now it's back. I'd say it's a great thing that I waited this long to resume development and show it to the world.

Reaper is a free-to-play title exclusive to PlayStation Vita. Personally the Vita is my favorite portable system for many reasons, which I don't think I need to go into since you Vita owners already know them.

Now let's talk about the gameplay. Reaper is an action RPG platformer, so you'll be leveling up, pulling off combos, destroying enemies, and all those kind of things.

But what makes it unique is the card system. Now don't worry, it's not like those mobile games that have cards where you can't do anything with them -...

Video: Soul Sacrifice Delta Updated With New Content on PS Vita

50°
7w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa posted up a video today of Soul Sacrifice Delta updated with new content on PS Vita below!

To quote: Hi everyone. As some of you may have noticed, the time has come for the first free content update (version 1.20) for [Register or Login to view links]. I hope everyone has updated the game to version 1.20, my fellow sorcerers!

But first, let's take a look at some brand new content that is dropping today. They've come all the way from Toukiden: The Age of Demons to bring you destruction and chaos, so please give them a warm welcome.

Today's DLC adds the "Otherworld Pacts" to the "Additional Pacts" section, with 6 new quests featuring the fiery "Chthonian Fiend" and the sparky "Abyssal Fiend."

They've not come empty handed either (that would just be rude), for they've each brought a couple of offerings with them. Those spells are yours to keep should you be strong enough to defeat these mighty beasts.

And we're not forgetting the more fashion conscious of you, with the Mononofu costume (for her and for him) thrown in for good measure.

So once you've downloaded the 1.20 version update, make sure that you hit the "DOWNLOAD" button on the title screen and get the...

Video: Just Add Water: Gravity Crash Ultra is Coming to PS Vita

7w ago - Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray posted up a, E3 2014 trailer video today showcasing Gravity Crash Ultra for PS Vita below.

To quote: In late 2009, I nervously sent Just Add Water's first PlayStation game, [Register or Login to view links], to PlayStation for submission on PS3.

Back then, the indie resurgence had barely started, and the idea that our retro flashback was about to appear on a major console was scary. We had some decent innovations in there, from the easy-to-use level editor to the ability to share player-made levels via PSN.

The landscape for indie developers has changed massively since then, but the values of creativity and gameplay remain. This is what Gravity Crash stood for then, and it's still as relevant today.

Yes, the team at JAW has been very busy with another game from a rather well-loved PlayStation franchise, [Register or Login to view links], but we found the time and talent to give Gravity Crash the update we really felt it deserved.

Nearly five years on, our work porting [Register or Login to view links]...

7w ago - Gunship X Developer Serban Porumbescu shared a video today for Gunship X which is coming to PlayStation Vita, and invites PS Vita fans to play it at E3 2014!

Below are the details, to quote: I'm happy to announce that Gunship X is coming to PS Vita later this year.

If you're around E3 next week, swing on by the Sony booth to say hello and to give it a try. I love my Vita, and after six years of iOS development I'm really excited about returning to console development - and I'm glad we can do it with Gunship X.

Gunship X is a top down shooter inspired by arguably one of the most memorable parts of Call of Duty Modern Warfare (the AC-130 mission) with a sprinkle of Starship Troopers. Take control of an AC-130 Gunship to defend humanity from invading hordes.

Push back the intruders and give the humans a chance to be airlifted to safety with the awesome arsenal at your disposal. Quickly switch between weapons as they reload or cool off to ensure maximal alien carnage. Upgrade your airplanes and their weapons with your earnings and then go out on another bombing and rescue run.

We created Gunship X to provide an intense bite sized experience for players on the go. The action ramps up quickly...

EarthNight Coming to PS4, PS Vita: Dragon Apocalypse Approaches

100°
7w ago - Cleaversoft Lead Developer Rich Siegel announced today that EarthNight is coming to PS4 and PS Vita consoles with a trailer video below dubbed The Dragon Apocalypse Approaches.

To quote: Two and a half years ago [Register or Login to view links] set out to make the deepest, most beautiful runner game of all time.

I'm so happy and proud to announce today that EarthNight will launch first on PS4, and shortly after on PS Vita in 2015. We will be showing off our first PS4 demo next week at E3 in Sony's booth, and we can't wait for people to get their hands on it.

EarthNight is a hand-painted roguelike runner about the dragon apocalypse. Dragons have taken over the Earth and exiled the decimated human population to outer space.

Our outraged heroes Stanley and Sydney decide to skydive to the planet's surface, taking out as many dragons as they can on their way. In terms of gameplay, Stanley is a good pick for beginners given his simpler control scheme. Sydney is for experts, with a less intuitive - but ultimately more rewarding - control scheme.

The game alternates between running on the backs of dragons and skydiving through a sea of the vile beasts. The running sections are frantic,...
