168w ago - Update: A video is now available below of a PS JailBreak OtherOS Installer from Sh1m3oN (proof of concept enabling features in the PS3 XMB) with some details on how to do it from Reaver at TeknoGods.
Recently C4PT started a project in attempt to re-enable OtherOS on JailBroken PS3 consoles, as you have the option to run your own selfs on them.
To quote: "C4PT has successfully gotten the OtherOS installer to run due to this fact. He accomplished this by putting the otheros.self into a backup game's USRDIR folder, renamed it to EBOOT.BIN, and running it.
You can also run it via AerialX's payload off a usb stick, however this hasn't been tested yet.
You will need the otheros.bld on a usb stick in the directory PS3/OTHEROS/otheros.bld, as otheros.self will try to load this file. This whole process completes successfully, but unfortunately that's where the good news ends.
This will need a lot more hacking to accomplish re-enabling OtherOS, as the otheros menu is still hidden from view on the XMB. This will require some sort of flash hacking to accomplish. The easy part has been done, now the...

170w ago - Today dimmudroid has announced news of what is currently being developed as Project PS3P on PSX-Scene, which aims to offer PSP game emulation on Sony's PS3 entertainment system!
To quote: "I'd like to announce a project i've been working on, PS3P. Basically it's the ability to load PSP games on PS3.
As you may know, the PS3 can play PSP Minis, which are installed just like any other package. And most PSP games have nearly identical structures and files as PS3 games.
Thus far I've been able to achieve a few steps in the right direction, but I'm not ready to share my work just yet. I've been working on this in my free time (aka outside of work and family) and it will be done when it's done.
If you'd like to know more, or keep on the up and up, feel free to find me on http://twitter.com/dimmudroid
I may need a few alpha testers soon, I'll post requirements and such later today."

Microsoft's Phil Spencer also confirmed that there will be 15 launch titles, and re-confirmed the hands-free motion control system will be compatible with all existing Xbox 360 consoles.
Kinect features motorized tilt function and a multi-array microphone, in addition to the camera and movement sensor... so it will swivel to follow you.
An engineer for Kinect took to the stage at E3 to show how 'natural' the device is. Within his presentation, he showed signing into his Xbox just by waving, and he could navigate the dash via speaking.

Finally, according to GameStop.com, Microsoft's Kinect will be priced at $149.99 for those who wish to pre-order the device.
