120w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared some Gamescom 2011 footage of LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita dubbed a Touch of Creation below.
To quote: LittleBigPlanet and LBP2 enabled PS3 players to play, create and share custom-made levels and game modes online for all to enjoy.
Now, with the upcoming PS Vita game harnessing the handheld's plethora of inputs and sensors for playing and creating, Sackboy's new adventure will be the most accessible - and empowering - LittleBigPlanet yet.
We've seen glimpses of what PS Vita adds to Play starting at E3, when SCEE's Pete Smith demonstrated how the touch screen, gyroscopes, and rear touch panel helped Sackboy navigate levels in all-new ways.
At Gamescom, Smith was joined by Tarsier Studios designer Richard Meredith to show us some more Play possibilities and tools you'll use to Create new types of games.
Even the "Super Oval" shape of PS Vita is giving the development team novel new possibilities. Smith turned the Vita vertically to demonstrate a gravity-based game where players rapidly sort colored balls into the right chute - reminiscent of a touch-enabled version of PSN game Droplitz.
121w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has posted up a LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 Move Pack live demo video from this year's Gamescom event in Germany.
To quote: A few weeks ago, our Sid Shuman delivered an in-depth report on LittleBigPlanet 2's upcoming Move Pack.
In short, the Move Pack adds a wealth of new play styles, game genres, and imaginative new Story levels. And it even gives the game's celebrated Create mode a major shot in the arm.
This morning in Cologne, Germany we ran into a couple of Media Molecule members at breakfast (the pastries were delicious). We asked if they'd be interested in running us through the new tools on camera. Media Molecule Level Design Lead Kengo Kurimoto stepped forward with a quick demo.
How cool was that cel-shaded Sackboy? That's one of six new costumes based on iconic art, and it's included when the Move Pack drops next month.
124w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman went hands-on with LittleBigPlanet 2's PlayStation Move PS3 Pack, with all the details below as follows:
Formally announced at PlayStation's E3 2011 press conference, the upcoming PlayStation Move Pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 will greatly expand the game's already prodigious creation suite and add countless new gameplay variants.
Based on my hands-on time, PlayStation Move support radically evolves the gameplay possibilities of LittleBigPlanet 2, whether it's flinging and manipulating objects using the new Brain Crane power-up, creating outlandish Move-focused minigames from scratch, or animating characters and props by recording your PlayStation Move gestures.
"It's the biggest update we've ever done," Media Molecule's Level Design Lead Kengo Kurimoto told me during a guided tour of the update last week in New York City.
When the Move Pack hits PSN this September, LBP2 owners will find six new Story levels in a Move-focused mini-campaign that picks up where LBP2 left off. One of the most significant gameplay enhancements comes as a potent new power-up called the Brain Crane.
Like a telepathic revamp of the Power Gloves, the Brain Crane enables Sackboy to pick up and manipulate objects with nothing but...

To quote: Over the next two months we've got some pretty darned cool LittleBigPlanet 2 DLC packs heading your way.
I'm sure you've noticed the title of this post, so let's not delay any further - from the depths of Midgar, I'm delighted to unveil...the FINAL FANTASY VII costume pack!

Exciting stuff - but that's not all. I'm sure lots of you have been enjoying the continuing adventures of Cole McGrath in inFAMOUS 2. Those adventures can now continue even further thanks to the inFAMOUS 2 mini-pack.
Released this week for $2.99, it contains costumes for Good Cole and Bad Cole, as well as a whole host of new stickers. Being a hero is optional in inFAMOUS 2, so this will give you a chance to show your true colors!

130w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein is here with some LBP gameplay footage of LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita from E3 2011.
To quote: The key things to remember about LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita:
• It's not a port: this LBP features an all new campaign and Vita-specific features
• Your previously purchased LittleBigOutfits will transfer seamlessly into LBP for Vita
• Sackboy looks 72% cuter on the OLED screen
Producer Pete Smith from SCEE Liverpool has been working on the LittleBigPlanet series since the original, and is therefore well qualified to show off what's new for LBP Vita.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this LBP is that the Create tools are kind of like a Vita dev kit. You can access the touch screens, accelerometers and more to make a levels that take full advantage of the handheld, and are unlike any previously created in the LBP universe.
