36w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator David Alonzo announced today that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc hits PS Vita on February 11th, 2014.

To quote: Hey, doods! It's your humble Prinny David from NIS America here to school you with a cohesive thesis on our upcoming title, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc - a revised and revamped edition of the very first Danganronpa that appeared on PSP in Japan in 2010.

The game is set to release on February 11th in North America, exclusively on PS Vita - just in time for Valentine's Day! You guys ready to fall in love with some ultimate brutality?

In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, you take on the role of Makoto Naegi - an excruciatingly ordinary teenager who one day finds himself accepted into Hope's Peak Academy. This is an ultra-prestigious school meant only for the best and the brightest and basically anyone but the ordinary.

Some of Makoto's fellow classmates include Leon, the Ultimate Baseball Star; Chihiro, the Ultimate Programmer; and Sayaka, the Ultimate Pop Sensation, so what's a guy like Makoto doing here?

Looks like Makoto's got enough to deal with trying to find his place amongst Japan's teen elite, but things get a little tougher when he suddenly falls unconscious and finds himself rudely awakened by an evil...

To quote: EDF! EDF! EDF! Just shouting out this simple phrase brings back fond memories of Earth Defense Force 2017, and now I'm pumped to share more details about the launch of Earth Defense Force 2025 in February of next year. In particular, what fans can expect from some of the upcoming weapon packs that will be available via pre-order or DLC.

Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God Hits PS Vita December 10

50°
39w ago - Project Lead Sanabu Washizuka confirmed today that Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God hits PS Vita consoles on December 10th, 2013.

To quote: Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, which tells the tale of a young, aspiring sorceress named Pupuru, will launch for PS Vita on December 10th. Pupuru is on a quest to save her friend's curry restaurant from the big bad curry chain that's moved in.

With the help (or not so much help) of a cast of wacky and strange characters - including the grumpy-but-lovable creature, Kuu - Pupuru's quest to find ingredients to make the legendary curry becomes a delectable adventure fun for just about anyone.

Despite Sorcery Saga's quirky and cute storyline, it offers players truly challenging gameplay. Sorcery Saga is more than just heading to your local curry house and eating tasty morsels of deliciousness; it's a turn-based RPG that allows players to move freely around a dungeon in a grid-like system.

Once players encounter an enemy, they'll be able to attack or use items or skills to fend off the onslaught of creatures. Let's delve deeper into Sorcery Saga's gameplay and see what this game is all about!

Sorcery Saga is a roguelike dungeon crawler. Fundamentally, roguelike gameplay gives players permanent consequences...

Daylight PS4: The Power of the Unknown Hits PlayStation 4 in 2014

50°
41w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements announced today that Daylight on PS4 dubbed The Power of the Unknown is slated to hit PlayStation 4 in 2014.

To quote: In an age of horror games with carefully crafted scares and achingly detailed environments, Zombie Studios is trying something new with its upcoming horror game, Daylight.

Players awake inside an abandoned hospital, with only the light of their cellphone to guide them through the thick black. But unlike other horror games, Daylight changes every time you play.

To better understand Daylight, and the scares within, we asked Zombie Studios Creative Director Andre Maguire to explain how the game came together and why procedurally generated scares give the horror genre a shot in the arm. Maguire also tells us about developing on PS4, and what inspirations fueled the team members in their creative process.

Daylight is tentatively scheduled to launch in early 2014.

PlayStation.Blog: What inspired the team at Zombie Studios to develop a hardcore horror title like Daylight, especially following successful first-person shooters such as Blacklight?

Andre Maguire: We love the horror genre, and we wanted to try and create a game that would be scary every time you played it. We knew that...
