Video: Eufloria HD is Coming to PS Vita on December 17th, 2013

54w ago - Omni Systems Limited Creative Director Rudolf Kremers shared a video today confirming that Eufloria HD is coming to PS Vita on December 17th, 2013.

To quote: Hello friends! Eufloria HD is coming out on December 17th for PS Vita!

This makes me happy, indeed. As an indie game developer, I remain amazed at the journey this game is taking, and the superb response it gets from fans. And as a proud Vita owner, it's fantastic to be able to announce this release.

Having launched a few different iterations of Eufloria over the years, I've come to appreciate that each one poses a new challenge. How do we adapt the controls? Does the game speed work nicely?

Are the visuals "right?" Generally there are real problems to overcome before you can settle on a solution that's right for everybody. Well, this Vita version is quite different, but in a very positive way. Here's why...

Performance

Eufloria is a funny thing. It may be "just" 2D, but you end up controlling thousands of seedlings across dozens of asteroids, zooming in to the level of individual blades of grass, or zooming out to see a bird's eye view of an entire asteroid belt - all within the space of seconds.

This works really well, and is very pretty, but admittedly can be a bit of...

Video: Running PS4 via XBox One's HDMI Input Demonstration

56w ago - Today Kotaku (via Digital Foundry) shared a video demo on running PlayStation 4 / PS4 games (with latency) through XBox One's HDMI input with details below.

To quote: You Can Play PS4 Through Xbox One, But You Probably Wouldn't Want To.

What happens when you plug a PlayStation 4's HDMI cable into the back of an Xbox One? The same thing that happens to everything else.

The fine folks at DigitalFoundry plugged their PlayStation 4 into the Xbox One's HDMI input and - contrary to my fevered speculation - a singularity was not formed. Instead, they got the PS4 video in their Xbox One dashboard.

From there they could navigate PlayStation menus, fiddle about with settings, or even launch a game, though lag issues make it a less-than-ideal means of doing so.

Either way, it's lovely to see the two of them getting along so well.

We also updated the concept artbook with Yoshitaka Amano's iconic image from Final Fantasy X and X-2. Why did we update it, you ask? It will all make sense later, I promise.

XBox One Game Call of Duty: Ghosts Dumped By Hacker C4Eva

57w ago - Following up on the previous update and recent PS4 ISO game dumps, today Microsoft hacker C4Eva announced he dumped the first XBox One game Call of Duty: Ghosts with details below.

To quote, roughly translated: C4eva, the person behind the XBox 360 hacking with iXtreme firmware, has announced that it has managed to dump the first Xbox game One from a Blu-ray disc, the Call of Duty: Ghosts.

No more information given, for example, if it has done with a Blu-ray ordinary or had to modify its firmware, as needed at the time with the XBox 360 DVD.

Obviously this does not mean that the burden of backups on the new console from Microsoft is close or anything like that. But one thing can not live without the other, they pararelos paths, and always arrives before the dumpeo of the games that the possibility of loading.

In fact, as the day came to be uploaded (within three months or within 3 years) this dump is not worth and you have to patch it, for example. But as a curiosity, there it is. He states:

First xbone disc dump completed! Ghosts 47Gb!...
