62w ago - Hello all you fans of Resi and Paintown, here's a video demonstrating a Resident Evil Paintown Mugen Character Pack for PS3 3.55 CFW users.
A couple of nights ago I was trawling the net looking for some stuff for the homebrew game paintown on the PS3. After downloading the latest version of Paintown (3.6.1) I noticed that Jonny Rafkind had mad some revisions of the mugen part of his side scroller so I mooched around a bit and found loads of mugen characters. On the initial load up there were a few crashes an buggy moments.
So I messed around a bit an came up with this as good as its gonna get (gameplay wise) themed pack of Resident Evil characters, you have jill, chris, wesker, leon, hunk, nemesis and a few zombies. I'm attaching a preview video I made of it in action...

To quote, roughly translated: "After a couple of days doing experiments with European and Japanese versions, here you have the patch Hybrid Game "Mugen.Souls.PS3-DUPLEX" translated into English to 99.9% (only PS3 Trophies are...
68w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton interviewed Dishonored's Harvey Smith today who discusses rebooting the stealth genre in video gaming.
Below is the interview, to quote: Outside of PlayStation's own announcements, the indisputable big-buzz game of Gamescom 2012 was Dishonored, the upcoming PS3 first-person stealth adventure from Bethesda.
With relatively low-key showings in Cologne from many of the other major third party publishers, Dishonored really got its chance to shine last week and it duly dazzled all comers.
For the uninitiated, the game puts you in the shoes of wronged assassin Corvo Atano who is framed for the murder of an Empress - his former lover.
You'll be sneaking around a dark, atmospheric steampunk world, combining supernatural powers and a range of weaponry to avenge her death and unmask those who've conspired against you.
To be clear, when we say stealth we don't mean the signposted sneaking of, say, recent Splinter Cell titles. The AI here is unforgivingly old school - more redolent of the likes of Thief.
And that should come as no surprise - co-creator Harvey Smith worked on that series, as well as the original Deus Ex and BioShock precursor System Shock. We caught up with him back stage at Gamescom to learn more about...
69w ago - Gaijinworks President Victor Ireland has announced today that the Legendary RPG Alundra is venturing into the PSN Store under PS One Classics!
To quote: I remember being at Tokyo Game Show the first time I saw Alundra. It was in the Sony booth on a single monitor in line with a number of other titles, with little signage.
There wasn't even an attendant managing the area. Important games often have multiple monitors, lots of signage and possibly special happenings as well as a person assigned to work the area, answer questions, help with gameplay, etc. Alundra had none of that.
The presentation at that Tokyo Game show was a metaphor for the game itself - confident, yet unassuming. But appearances can be deceptive - and that was never truer than with Alundra.
I knew what I was looking at the moment I laid eyes on it. I let out a little gasp - OMG, is... is that a new Landstalker game? The look of the main character and the isometric perspective was unmistakable.
I could scarcely believe it was what I thought it was. I tracked down someone to help me in the best Japanese I could muster. They kindly got me in touch with one of the staff working on the title.
"Is this a Landstalker sequel?" I asked, barely able to hide my excitement. No,...
80w ago - Previously we reported on several other PS3 cheating devices, and today Kotaku (linked above) has announced that a modern-day Game Genie Save Editor by Hyperkin for the PlayStation 3 is slated to debut at E3 2012 and launch on July 17th offering maximum lives and more.
Apparently it works through a USB flash drive that contains an installation program that allows you to transfer save files between the PS3 and PC.
A PC program in the USB drive will write cheats onto your save files allowing you to then transfer the edited save files from PC back to the PS3. It also will include a continuously updated server that adds new codes to the newest games.
To quote: "The Game Genie works by modifying save data with cheat codes that unlock a variety of possibilities. The Game Genie: Save Editor for PS3 is the first code device amongst any competitor's products that actually manipulates save files and works for the PS3. Hyperkin will debut the Game Genie: Save Editor for PS3 at E3, the premier trade show for the video game industry.
Located in Booth #417 in the South Hall, the Hyperkin booth...
