125w ago - Recently the PlayStation Suite SDK went into Open Beta as part of Sony's Developer Program, and now someone has managed to successfully port the Nintendo (NES) emulator FCEU to PlayStation Vita on the latest PS Vita v1.67 Firmware.

It's pretty easy to do, you need:

1. PS Vita
2. Computer running Win XP/7
3. Files included below.

Hi Community,

I wanted to contribute to the scene , so I coded a tool that might help the community our members and fellow dev's. This Tool is intended for dev's so please be careful if you don't know what you do. I will not be held responsible for any harm.

My tool is a emulator for PS3 modules (e.g metldr), it is in pre alpha stage but I thought, it would be great to get some community feedback.

How to use:

Not all SPU Commands are implemented yet, but it is easily extendable and I will make it support DMA, all SPU Commands and SPU Mailbox soon.

First open a .kds file. Check out the metldr.kds to see an example. The rest is like a normal debugger. If you put dumps of your reversed functions in the KnownFunctions folder, it will detect it and mark that function for you.

Just for example Mark the whole cellSpuAesDecryptCbcCfb128 function in HexView in IDA -> Right Click -> Save...

Flash0 of PSP Emulator for PS Vita Dumped, Kernel / User Keys

550°
126w ago - Following up on the recent rumor of PSOne game emulation support for PS Vita, today PlayStation Vita hacker The_Zett has made available a decrypted Flash0 dump of the PSP emulator for PS Vita which includes the kernel / user keys.

From his [Register or Login to view links] feed, to quote:

An unknown VITA developer shared some interesting files, a little hint - PSP emulator and f0

From The Z on PlayStation Vita developer wololo's forum (linked above) on the release, to quote:

An unknown Vita developer has shared an interesting link some hours ago, which contains a full dump of the flash0 of the vita psp emulator - Including the kermit modules and the psvita kernel keys!

This dump can lead some professional Vita developers to kernel access, which will give us the ability to play nearly every homebrew. Backup launcher could be possible as well, but for these ones a high rank developer would be needed for programming it.

The developer says that he shared the files because...

Caprice32 4.1.0 DBG Amstrad CPC 8-Bit Emulator PS3 Port Arrives

250°
129w ago - Not long ago PlayStation 3 homebrew developer Rtype released a Hatari v1.6.1 DBG Atari Emulator PS3 port, and today he is back with a Caprice32 4.1.0 DBG emulator port for PS3 as well.

For those unaware, Caprice32 is a software emulator of the Amstrad CPC 8-bit home computer series. The emulator faithfully imitates the CPC464, CPC664, and CPC6128 models.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links]

To quote: Originally, I was thinking about to not release to all until I update to the Caprice 4.2.0 version, but since I've no time left to solve some vdu bug in 4.2.0, I decide to release the dbg version based on the 4.1 version.

(as you can play some old good games with this version, but be sure to know what exactly is an Amstrad CPC computer before lunch it on the PS3 ) So ...

What?: A quick port of caprice32-4.1.0 to ps3 using PSL1GHTV2 / SDL.
Why? : It was the first computer i own.
Who? : Rtype

Video: SSNES Multi-System Emulator Port for PS3 is Now Available

550°
130w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developers opium2k, Themaister and Squarepusher2 have made available a PS3 port of SSNES (manual reader shader), which is a multi-system emulator for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and BSD with roots as a SNES emulator.

To quote: Due to be released within the next day or two is version 0.9.5 of SSNES as well as the initial release of the PS3 and 360 ports. SSNES is a multi-platform, multi-system emulator with ports being worked on for PC, OSX, PS3, 360 and a few more I believe.

As I said, it's a multi-system emulator. Don't let the name fool you, it's not just for SNES games! It currently supports games from systems such as NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, SMS, GG, Genesis & FBA using selectable cores from various emulators to ensure the best compatibility, accuracy and performance for the end user.

To demonstrate the capabilities of SSNES and more specifically maister's manual reader shader I've been working on some implementations for the past couple months to show off just a taste of some of this shader's uses.

Here are some screenshots showing some of the uses on roms for the systems that SSNES currently supports:

Pages of the manual are changed by the user with a key combination of (enter+Q or W) on PC and (Start+L1...
