152w ago - SCEE's European Product Manager Ross Alexander shared a PS3 interview today with the director of the incoming PlayStation 3 video game exclusive title White Knight Chronicles II.

To quote: As the release of White Knight Chronicles II, exclusively on PS3, draws closer, we got in touch with the game's director Yoshiaki Kusuda to talk about the story behind WKC II and the future of the series.

Tell us about the story in White Knight Chronicles II

The game takes place one year after the events of the original White Knight Chronicles. A year after the return of the Yshrenian Empire, Leonard and his companions come back together to protect the Kingdom of Balandor, the Archduchy of Faria and the Free City of Greede from the Yshrenian Empire, and end up having to save the entire world.

Two new characters will also play key parts in the story: Miu, the daughter of Archduke Dalam; and the mysterious Scardigne. There is civil unrest in the Archduchy of Faria, with one faction trying to protect Miu and another militant faction trying to spark a revolution. Scardigne belongs to the former, but you'll need to play the actual game to fully understand the role he takes in the story.

White Knight Chronicles II will bring a satisfying conclusion to the conflict...

152w ago - Your favorite PSP games are coming soon to PlayStation 3. Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has announced the "PSP Remaster" title series this morning, in which Sony and other publishers will remaster their best PSP titles for PlayStation 3 on blu-ray disc.

"PSP Remaster" titles will deliver high-definition graphics, SIXAXIS and DualShock 3 compatibility, new add-on content and/or stereoscopic 3D support. Save data from the original PSP version can be used in the "PSP Remaster" version. Ad-hoc gameplay is supported with the "adhoc party for PlayStation Portable" PlayStation 3 application.

The first "PSP Remaster" title will debut in Japan with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. from Capcom. The PlayStation 3 version is "more gorgeous and vibrant than ever" and will "deliver dynamic gameplay when played on the large TV screens." A fitting first release, as the game has already sold over 4.5 million units in the country.

Sony Computer Entertainment "will deploy various measures to enhance the software title line-up for the PS3 system." The rumored God of War: Portable Collection from last week is likely part of this lineup. The only question left unanswered is "what's next?" Final Fantasy? Clank and Daxter? To quote: Here is a version for testing, I'm calling it 'Alpha 1'. There's a lot of features in the emulator, and I'm not all that familiar with the spectrum to even begin testing them all. If you find any issues, or have any ideas for improvement, please post them.

If you are using a USB keyboard post any info about non-working keys (likely on non-US keyboards) and I'll add them to the sdcell key map for future releases.

Please read the Readme.PS3 file in the zip for usage info and known issues.

From the Readme File: 1.0.0.1: PS3 Alpha 1 Release Notes:

This is a test release, not all features have been thoroughly tested. Please report any issues and feedback. Issues should NOT be reported to the FUSE project, this port is unofficial and the fuse team will not be able to provide support.
