House Of The Dead: Overkill PS3 Extended Cut - Creeping Flesh

300°
169w ago - Sega Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has posted up some new screens and details on their upcoming PS3 title House Of The Dead: Overkill Extended Cut featuring creeping flesh and more below!

To quote: Not content with simply revealing the first exclusive level for the PS3 release of [Register or Login to view links], I'm back to give you the scoop on the second one too.

Set in the cosy confines of an abattoir taken over by a meaty disease of sorts, Creeping Flesh delivers you more of the additional awesome content we've lovingly added to the extended, and definitive, edition of OVERKILL.

We pick up the story with Varla and Candy again, and this time circumstances lead them to the local abattoir. I'm not going to spoil any of the story and the detail around what leads them there, but let's just say it's the standard House of the Dead fare; there are guns, motives for revenge and mutants galore, all wrapped up with the usual Grindhouse styling.

As you can see from the above image, there is something of a meaty infestation starting to take hold inside the building, and internally we've affectionately referred to this as the meat wall (there is also a meat tunnel later in the level,...

Sony Details Combat Wings on PS3 with PlayStation Move Support

169w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared details on the upcoming PS3 title Combat Wings- complete with PlayStation Move support below!

To quote: Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII lands on PS3 this November with aerial combat campaigns set amidst the bloodiest air battles of World War II.

Not long ago, I tried out a pre-release version of the game under the watchful eye of Creative Director [Register or Login to view links], focusing on the game's use of the PlayStation Move motion controller.

Before I grabbed the stick for a test flight, I was curious what made Majewski want to support PlayStation Move in the first place – WWII air combat isn't exactly a genre that leaps into my mind when I ponder the potential of motion-controlled gaming.

"Move makes this game better," Majewski said with conviction. "It's a much more natural form of steering than using an analog stick and it makes a huge difference to the gameplay.

Playing a flying game with a controller can be clunky; you have to make a lot of fine movements in order to change direction and aim. PlayStation Move is great - you just point where you want to go." Based on just 30 minutes of play time, I'd have to agree.

Move proves...

To quote: This puts me at two (admittedly small) updates in only one day! Huzzah! Basically everything I said about the recent update to Dont Get Crushed applies to this new version of Cascade Beneath.

It has been remade with PSL1GHT, now works on CFW, has a new font, speeds up over time, pauses when the XMB is brought up, there have been some slight changes to the random placement of the gaps in the floors and there are several other nearly unnoticeable differences.

Don't Get Crushed v1.1 PS3 Homebrew Game Update is Released

170w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer ThatOtherDev has updated his initial release of the PS3 homebrew game Don't Get Crushed to version 1.1 for CFW users.

To quote: Here is an update to something I made for PS3 ages ago. It was originally made with the official SDK but it has now been remade with PSL1GHT and will work perfectly fine on CFW (is it still not possible to run the old stuff from the days of Jailbreak devices unmodified on CFW without getting an 80010009 error?).

There have been a handful of changes. Everything speeds up slightly as your score increases. The game pauses when the XMB is brought up. The text is larger and has a different font. There are a lot of other alterations but it is all minor stuff.

The one very noticeable change is that it has returned to being played with the analog sticks (you can use either one) instead of being sixaxis motion controlled. I wasn't able to get the motion controls working (I have been having bad luck with controls lately lol). I would greatly appreciate it if anyone want's to point me in the direction of an...
