This tutorial video is a good place to start if you've never experienced inFAMOUS 2 UGC before. It covers the basics: entering the UGC Menu, creating missions from Templates, and playing missions from within the editor.

158w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has posted up an El Shaddai PS3 video interview today alongside details on the PlayStation 3 title, as follows:

With vibrant colors, buttery-smooth animation, and an uncluttered presentation (no HUD!), El Shaddai is a real head-turner.

The game's premise is as unusual as its visuals are striking. "This is a retelling of the [Register or Login to view links], part of the [Register or Login to view links]," Ignition Entertainment's Shane Bettenhausen told me. "It's not meant to be a complete retelling - we've taken some liberties."

Liberties such as mobile phones, designer jeans, and a driving level which would be at home in a TRON or Final Fantasy title. Despite the biblical angle, I wouldn't consider El Shaddai a religious experience any more than I would Bayonetta a treatise on witchcraft. Instead, the source material offers up an interesting story and guides some of the gameplay elements.

"Enoch, as a character in the bible, is immortal," Bettenhausen told me. "He cannot die. So when you die in this game, you always have the chance to come back to life. If you jam on the four buttons that you use to play the game fast enough, you come back to life....
 

The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut - PS Move in 3D

158w ago - Sega of America's Public Relations Manager David Bruno has unveiled the box art and details on The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut for PlayStation Move in 3D.

We announced The House of the Dead: OVERKILL - Extended Cut just before E3 this year, and were amazed to see that there were so many who were eager to take aim at the mutant infection springing up in Bayou County.

This is the first time we have released The House of the Dead on an HD console, and we feel that the PS3 is the perfect home for an arcade-style shooter like OVERKILL. With 3D and PlayStation Move support, two brand new scenarios added, and all seven stages of the original remastered, the 'baddest' just got bigger! We are really working hard to make this the best in the series to date.

Currently the official site ProgSkeet.com doesn't offer any details beyond the ProgSkeet PS3 Install Diagrams and ProgSkeet Multi-Console Install Diagrams, however, he did provide some pictures (below, with high-res HERE) of the ProgSkeet device and the ProgSkeet Drivers, ProgSkeet Flasher Software and ProgSkeet Flasher Software Update followed by some more updates in THIS ongoing Forum thread.

VBANext PS3 Gameboy / GBA Emulator Unofficial Build Arrives

158w ago - A few days back PlayStation 3 developer squarepusher2 announced that the Nintendo Gameboy / GBA Emulator PS3 Port known as VBA PS3 would soon become VBANext, and today subcon959 has made available an unofficial VBANext PKG file for PS3 users to try out while awaiting an official release.

Some recent changes from the SVN include the following:
