It is our first PS3 game and we are very happy with what we have achieved so far.
So up to this point besides working on the game we have also worked to get in touch with our fans. For that we have launched an official Web site and forum, started a Facebook page and posted here on the PlayStation.Blog. Feedback has been great and we cannot wait for the day when the game is on sale.
But getting an RTS feature-packed game on PSN was not our only goal, we also wanted the bring out the big guns and give our fans something extra. So I am proud to present the Under Siege intro.
It was made by the nice folks at Axis Animation (who you may remember as the creator of the Killzone 2 intro) and it gives you an introduction to the world of Under Siege....
131w ago - SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine has shared details today on the LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 demo, Sackboy's prehistoric moves, and the LBP2 Beta expansion which are all coming this December!
To quote: One of the promises we made after moving the LittleBigPlanet 2 release date was that we'd find a way to give you all additional LittleBigPlanet goodness ahead of the new game's January 18 release date.
Well, now I'm pleased to share the good news with you. Here's what we have in store...
Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves
This is a brand new spin-off PSN title that showcases all of the fun that can be had when Sackboy gets his hands on the PlayStation Move motion controller. Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves contains a brand new 10 level theme dominated by dinosaurs, where the Evil Big Rex is king.
Throughout your mission you must take on challenges engineered by Terrance Dactyl - and you're going to some need help, so put on your bear skins and grab up to four friends to navigate the tough terrain of the tropical jungle dodging erupting volcanoes and other environmental hazards standing in your way.
The player with the PlayStation Move controller leads the charge, flicking switches and triggering platforms to help the other players, using DualShock...
In it you'll find more footage on combat, augmentations, in-game menus, and upgrade trees than we've ever publicly shown. If you pay attention, you might even sneak a peek at our hacking mini-game and a weapon modification that toys with the term "hand cannon."
And to those of you who think you've seen everything after watching the leaked footage (yeah, we know it exists...), to quote legendary Canadian rock group Bachman Turner Overdrive, "you ain't seen nothin' yet."
In other news, I'm pleased to announce that I and other members of the studio are presently readying content to distribute specifically to this great blog.
After spending four challenging but passionate years developing a sequel to one of the most revered videogames of all-time, everyone involved can't wait to talk. We're very, very excited, and we hope you are too. See you all soon!
131w ago - A few days back we reported on the PS JailBreak Downgrade file leak, and today Hansi of PSXCare.com (linked above) has followed up on some previous work and shared a video of a PS3 downgrading with PS Downgrade and a Beagle 480 USB protocol analyzer.
131w ago - Today Senior Vice President Peter Dille of Marketing & PlayStation Network has shared a new GT5 PS3 promo video with Kevin Butler entitled It Only Does Revolutionary Racing Experiences.
To quote: In just six short days, the franchise that revolutionized the racing category as we know it will be making its exclusive debut on PlayStation 3. Gran Turismo 5 will be racing onto store shelves this coming Wednesday, November 24.
This highly anticipated installment will no doubt raise the bar on the franchise's unparalleled graphics, presentation and gameplay - bringing you an experience so life-like you'll find it hard to distinguish from a live race.
While we think features such as the all-new Course Maker, an expansive online racing community built right in, stereoscopic 3D compatibility and more than 1,000 cars from the world's top manufacturers, including karts and select NASCAR cars, speak for themselves, we still couldn't resist giving one of our most anticipated and loved franchises the "Kevin Butler" treatment.
In this latest ad, we find Kevin Butler taking a call from a devoted Gran Turismo fan anxiously waiting for...
