171w ago - Today Sleepdroid has shared some videos and motion backgrounds for deank's multiMAN PS3 backup manager on [Register or Login to view links].

To quote: Here is a couple of Motion backgrounds I have made.

This is how you put a motion background in multiMAN. You have to be on mulitMAN 2.05.06 or newer one.

  • Download a wave.divx
  • Use a Usb-stick or use a ftp program to transfer it to multiMAN USDIR.
  • You have to copy the wave.divx to Hdd0:\game\BLES80608\USDIR
  • It should now looks like , Hdd0:\game\BLES80608\USDIR\wave.divx
  • Restart Multiman
  • When you are back in multiMAN XMMB Press "select+Triangle".

It should now play the motion background you choose.

Video: Eskiss PS3 Homebrew Game from KaKaRoToKS is Released

171w ago - Today Sony PlayStation 3 hacker KaKaRoToKS has released a PS3 homebrew game port titled Eskiss which utilizes the EFL (Enlightenment Foundation Libraries).

To quote: The Eskiss game using the EFL (Enlightenment Foundation Libraries) running on a PS3. Smooth framerate at 1080p resolution.

Eskiss is just a simple game like a PoC, I ported it to show you what can be done using the EFL (I love the animations! )

And don't forget, the EFL are the core libraries used by E17, a desktop manager like Gnome or KDE (that's what I use). it's many libraries that can do a lot of things, and have a widget lib (button, sliders, checkbox, etc..) and they should be used in order to create new HB!!

The game can be played with a mouse or with a controller, this video was done using a mouse.

Call of Duty: Black Ops PS3 Security Patch 1.13 Update Arrives

171w ago - Today JD_2020 announced that the Call of Duty: Black Ops PS3 patch 1.13 update has gone live, which includes security and game fixes as outlined below.

To quote: We are listening to you and we've been busy working on updates based on feedback from the community. We have already deployed a number of updates, and there will be many more to come. Stay tuned right here for all the latest info.

CoD: Black Ops Patch 1.13 PlayStation 3 Updates:

• Security Updates.
• Addressed an issue where Custom Private Match settings were carrying over to Public matches.
• Prohibited clan tags can no longer be used.
• A player's win streak will now break if they quit out during a live match.
• Players that are partied up are no longer allowed to go into party-restricted lobbies such as FFA.
• Fixed a rare issue with Recent Games not showing the correct heat map.
• Addressed an exploit copying another player's emblem/playercard.
• Added Rezurrection DLC support. (Launching September 22nd!)
• Fixed some issues related to invites going from Zombie to Multiplayer.
• Unlocked clan tag colors can now be set using the swapped X/O button configuration.
