50°
355w ago - Here's an updated version of my God of War III teaser. I got a lot of helpful feedback on the original and decided to improve it.

I tweaked a lot of the graphics/effects as well added some. You'll also notice the addition of voice overs. Enjoy!

Gears of War Review

50°
359w ago - A year back when Gears of War (GoW) released on the XBOX-360, it was the best thing next to sliced bread and reviewers from every corner of the gaming empire waxed long and sweet poetries about it.

This year, Epic Games has gone another mile to extend their award winning masterpiece to the PC elite. Packing five new chapters in the campaign, new multiplayer content and an epic finale in the form of a boss fight, this game has created some serious concerns among many XBOX360 fans over the "incomplete" version they played yesteryear. How well does this bone crushing title play? Is it worth the delay and extra content to buy it on the PC? Hell, yea!!! Read on to find out more...

Marcus Fenix is back and you play as this ex-prisoner who's silent on the lips and ruthless on the gun. The story takes place fourteen year after an event called Emergence Day where a group of creatures called the 'Locust Horde' burst from the ground and launch a full scale invasion on an otherwise peaceful planet. In a desperate attempt to thwart the ongoing brutality, every person who calls himself a human is called to war for mankind's ultimate survival. Macus Fenix' body armor looks shinier than ever and we're praying solemnly that it would show up on Ebay someday like those 'Big Daddy' costumes of late. Shooting...

PSP Preview- God of War: Chains of Olympus Demo

50°
360w ago - When I got home from work today I found a small package waiting for me on my doorstep courtesy of Playstation Underground. In it was a PSP demo for God of War: Chains of Olympus. They also thoughtfully included a chain with the God of War Omega symbol.

So I popped the demo into my PSP and started it up. On the main screen you have three options: Start Demo, Options, and Treasures. Under options you can adjust music and sound volume and view the controller layout- nothing out of the ordinary.

Under treasures, there are 5 spots. The first one says Attica Walkthrough, which is an overview of the first level (playable in the demo) and explained by one of the game directors. The other four spots just say Locked.

When you start the demo you are instantly thrown into battle and the game gives you simple control instructions (square for light attack, triangle for heavy attack, and circle for a grab attack). If you've ever played God of War on the PS2 then you will find that the PSP version plays the same way. You will also notice that there is as much detail in the PSP version as there was in the PS2 version.

These were both things that were talked about a little while back when the game developers talked with Playstation Underground members. They pointed out that their goal with the...

Frontlines: Fuel of War for PS3 Preview!

50°
362w ago - It's 2024, and the Caspian Sea contains the last remaining oil reserves on the planet. In order to secure them, the world's superpowers converge on the oil towns of Turkmenistan with jets, Humvees and tanks. Powering all this military hardware just for a few barrels may seem a bit wasteful, but in the future global economy you'll have to spend oil to earn oil.

In Frontlines: Fuel of War's single-player campaign, you'll use an array of weapons and vehicles to beat back the combined military forces of Russia and China. Various strategic objectives are scattered around the maps, and as long as they're not too far into enemy territory, you can approach these in any order you choose. Dying in the single-player mode doesn't force a reset, either, as you'll simply take control of another teammate at the front.

Leading the charge are over 60 playable vehicles (which, by the way, will never run out of gas). Similar to the Battlefield series, vehicles are scattered around maps two-to-four miles in size, and in either the single-player campaign or multiplayer mode you can hop into a tank or helicopter and fight however you see fit. For example, there's the "battle bus," a Land of the Dead-inspired coach that holds a team and comes with barbed wire barricades and a gunner's nest on the roof.

The vehicles...

God of War: Chains of Olympus - Special Edition Demo Disc

50°
365w ago - Cory Barlog, the Creative Director of God of War: Chains of Olympus states: What is up God of War fans? Sorry for the long hiatus but things have been crazy here at Casa De Kratos...much to do. I thought I would come out of my somewhat self imposed media coma to let everyone know that the PSP demo discs are freaking done baby!!!

As I type these words, legions of carrier Harpies are being dispatched to deliver the sweet UMD goodness that is God of War: Chains of Olympus - Special edition: Battle of Attica Demo Disc...otherwise know as GOW: COO -SE:BoADD. Good god...that is a freaking mouthful, even typing this abbreviated version makes me tired.

That's it for now, keeping this one quick. The game is looking absolutely amazing, btw, so I hope everyone enjoys this little taste of portable God of War goodness. As a matter of fact, I think it even got an award for the Best PSP Game, or something like that, at the Leipzig conference.
