174w ago - As a follow-up to the ProgSkeet PS3 Solderless and Dual NAND Kit Tools demo, today the ProgSkeet Team have announced news of a ProgSkeet v1.1 Crystal Blue Edition for the PlayStation 3 that will begin shipping tomorrow.

To quote: Attached is the new picture of PROGSKEET V1.1 L.E. in distribution right now to our resellers (we start shipping tomorrow).

The new version of PROGSKEET has these small changes:

1 - ZIF 50 PIN CONNECTOR INSTALLED ON THE BACK
2 - 3.3V and 1.8V selection (1.8V nands like IPHONE are supported)

Also during next days a new version of the PROGSKEET software will be release, the main target is add the DUAL NAND feature to PROGSKEET. We start to ship soon the samples of solderless tool including the NAND PCB to all our BETA TESTERS.

175w ago - Today Ubisoft PR Coordinator Alex Monney has announced that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Trilogy will be deploying on PS3 Blu-ray and PSN this Tuesday.

To quote: Reliving classic gaming memories is one of my favorite things to do. I vividly remember playing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on PlayStation 2. Did I have a ton of fun? Yes.

How long did I have Sam Fisher fumble around in those curtains? Way too long. Would I want to do that all over again with HD and 3D? Absolutely.

The time has come, because Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Trilogy finally comes to the PS3 on Tuesday. Tuesday. Even better, we will be launching simultaneously in stores and on the PlayStation Store.

PlayStation 3 Integration Added to BitTorrent Client uTorrent v3.1

175w ago - Recently BitTorrent client uTorrent has announced the addition of PlayStation 3, Android, iOS and XBox 360 integration via USB in their latest build.

Aside from the usual bug fixes, the new release allows users to drag and drop downloaded files to Apple and Android devices, as well as the PS3 and Xbox 360 game consoles. This allows users to quickly sync downloaded content to these devices.

Below are the changes, as follows:

Child of Eden Confirmed as First PS3 3.7x Firmware Game

175w ago - A few months ago Portal 2 was confirmed as the first PlayStation 3 game to be encrypted for PS3 3.60 Firmware, and this weekend scene release group DUPLEX have confirmed that Child of Eden by Ubisoft is the first PS3 3.7x Firmware title.

To quote from the Child.Of.Eden.PS3-DUPLEX release:

Release Info: Under the direction of world-renown creative director Tetsuya Mizuguchi. The PS3 version of the game is PlayStation Move compatible, but it's not required to play the game.
