Time Machine: Rogue Pilot Hits PSN This Spring with Multiplayer

50°
181w ago - Lesta Studio's International Affairs Manager Lucy Khatajaeva has announced today that Time Machine: Rogue Pilot is hitting PSN this Spring with Multiplayer action.

To quote: Our very first PS3 title Time Machine: Rogue Pilot is in the final stages of development and will be available on PSN later this spring (hurray!), which is totally exciting for our studio.

Time Machine: Rogue Pilot combines all my favorite elements from the "match three" and hidden object genre, combined with full HD graphics and a great soundtrack. Your task is to time travel through different eras to fix the past and save he future!

First, some backstory! The Time Machine was built by a genius professor for the good of humanity, but it was stolen by a fellow named Jack, who has an interest in bringing destruction to the world. He jumps from one era to another and creates chaos to the timeline.

While playing for Ilona, a young girl who was brave enough to chase Jack, you'll have to collect special crystals in match-three missions that serve as fuel for your Time Machine, enabling you to jump from one era to another.

You'll need to fix the past by destroying items that don't belong to the current era – these are the hidden object missions – to bring order to the universe and...

182w ago - Square Enix Associate Product Manager Charles McCarter has unveiled the official launch trailer for Moon Diver today, which hits PSN on March 29, 2011.

To quote: We showed the first [Register or Login to view links] for Moon Diver at E3 last year. And, although all we had on the floor was a video, the response was overwhelming.

People wanted to know when they would be able to get their hands on "that game that looks like Strider." Well, that time is fast approaching, as [Register or Login to view links] is part of the PlayStation Network's Spring Fever promotion.

Moon Diver puts you in the role of one of five elite warriors who have been given orders to reclaim the Earth after a horrible catastrophe. It's a tough job, to be sure, which is why you don't have to go it alone. Up to three friends can join you in either local or on-line coop as you hack, slash, jump, and slice your way to saving humanity.

Working together, you're stronger, and nowhere is that more evident than in the powerful combos called Moonsault Combinations that you and your friends can execute together. Sure, the enemies are really bad. And some are really big. But with a little hard work,...

New Super Stardust HD PS3 DLC: Impact Mode is Hitting PSN

200°
182w ago - SCEA Producer Daimion Pinnock has detailed some new Super Stardust HD PS3 DLC dubbed Impact Mode that is hitting PSN this Spring.

To quote: We'd like players around the world to know that we've created a new game mode for Super Stardust HD that'll be out on PSN this Spring - it's called the "Impact" mode.

We want to thank all the fans around the world for your continued support - it has made Super Stardust HD a top selling PSN exclusive and enabled us to keep creating new content for the game even now over three years after its release.

2008 saw the release of the "Solo Pack," offering new game modes such as Endless, Survival, Bomber and Time Attack. That was followed by the multiplayer "Team Pack" featuring split-screen co-op and deathmatch modes for up to 4 players.

Additionally, the game then broke new ground by becoming the first ever PlayStation 3 game to feature Trophies.

In 2010 we gave players the exciting option to experience the game in real 3D, one of the few of its kind as it creates 120 unique frames per second.

Now in 2011 with the new Impact mode add-on, Super Stardust HD continues to be the most comprehensive shooter experience available.

The Impact mode plays on and twists the game rules -...

Video: Swarm Hits PlayStation Network, PSN Launch Trailer

182w ago - Hothead Games Director of Game Technology Joel DeYoung has made available a PSN launch trailer video today on Swarm which is hitting PlayStation Network soon.

To quote: We're super excited that [Register or Login to view links] is finally about to be released on PlayStation Network. The genesis of the original idea for the game stretches all the way back to 2006, shortly after we started Hothead.

There was an indie video game developer contest we wanted to enter, so we brainstormed a ton of ideas on what to submit. Dr. Mike Hayward, Hothead's resident Ph.D., brought forward a concept based on his doctoral research in artificial life.

He called it Swarm and it had plenty of science cred. We thought this was our contest winner, so we came up with a cute adorable character to go with his tech, the [Register or Login to view links], and got to work on a prototype.

In the end we did very well in that contest, placing in the final four, winning the people's choice vote, and garnering $300,000 in winnings. Every time we wore a Swarm t-shirt in public, invariably someone would ask us about the character. People really seemed to like it. So we knew we were onto something. We just had one problem: what we created wasn't really a game.

Video: Chime Super Deluxe Hits PSN on March 29 with Multiplayer

50°
183w ago - Today Producer Brynley Gibson at Zoe Mode has shared a video announcing that Chime Super Deluxe hits PSN on March 29, 2011 and includes four-player multiplayer.

To quote: We're excited to announce that Chime Super Deluxe will be released and available to download from the PlayStation Store on 29th of March in the US. We can't wait!

In the meantime, I would like to tell you a little more about what Super Chime Deluxe has in store for you.

To play the game, you have to place down irregular-shaped blocks one at a time on the grid, fit them together 3 X 3 or more and you will build a quad. The quads score you points and this creates coverage, which fills the grid.

The challenge is to fill the grid before the time runs out. This core rule set alongside multipliers, time bonuses, block fragment crashes and more create an addictive and mesmerising strategic experience.

But where does the music come in? Each block you place plays a note, and a different note depending on where it is placed. Every quad you create plays a longer musical phrase depending on the size and shape of it. The backing track is driven forward depending on how much coverage you have. The composition of the music is therefore remixed by you as you play.
