184w ago - Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has posted up a video trailer today announcing that One Epic Game is hitting PSN tomorrow.

To quote: My name is Jakub from [Register or Login to view links], the folks who gave you MiniSquadron and [Register or Login to view links], and I'd like to tell you about our next project - One Epic Game, which is now being released via PlayStation Store tomorrow.

All of gaming's most notorious stereotypes finally make an appearance in one epic game - aliens, zombies, fantasy, World War II and nuclear wasteland. [Register or Login to view links] puts you in the shoes of Alpha Dog, another muscular, one dimensional action hero with the task to negotiate with the enemies the only way they understand - a bullet in the brain!

As you have probably guessed by now, everything about One Epic Game is intentionally over-the-top. The name, the action, the main hero, humour... One Epic Game is a parody of all the gaming stereotypes we see in almost every action game. But it does not stop only with games, as you'll see us pay homage to some popular movies and much more.

One Epic Game is a minis game and will...

Video: Dead Block Hits PlayStation Network on July 19, 2011

185w ago - Candygun Games Managing Director Roger Joswig has announced today that Dead Block hits PlayStation Network on July 19 and has shared a video trailer for the PSN title below.

To quote: I'm writing for our small game development start-up Candygun Games based in Hamburg, Germany.

We've just finished our first original game: Dead Block - A 1950's Horror B-Movies inspired action defense game. I'm very happy to bring Dead Block to PS3 gamers via PSN on July 19th in the U.S!

Dead Block is a zombie game set in America's 1950s during the birth of rock 'n roll music – a music so bad, so evil that it summons the dead from their graves to eat brains!

Luckily, you are protected inside a building and you know how to defend yourself with blockades and traps. The game is a third-person action strategy mix with an old-school B-movie horror theme and cartoon-inspired art direction. Dead Block doesn't take itself too seriously; humor is a big part of the game's presentation.

During gameplay, you'll be trapped inside the building and you can use everything you find in order to build blockades and wicked traps. If zombies break in, players fight the intruders with smart bombs and rock 'n roll music. Single-player and up to four player split-screen is supported.

185w ago - Activision's Social Media Manager Dan Amrich has announced today that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation maps will be hitting PS3 on July 28, 2011.

To quote: First Strike was fun. Escalation rocked. But [Register or Login to view links] fans want more - they crave new battlegrounds and new experiences.

Black Ops developer Treyarch knows this, so they've been busy creating another fresh batch of DLC maps: Annihilation. The newest add-on content will be ready for download from the PlayStation Store starting Thursday, July 28th.

Annihilation features four new standard multiplayer arenas - Silo, Hangar 18, Drive-In and Hazard - and the deadly jungle Zombies experience, Shangri-La. "The goals we set were about quality and variety," says Treyarch's Online Director, Dan Bunting. "We wanted to make everything feel unique and distinct."

Annihilation delivers on those goals with five all-new environments:

Drive-In: This one-time American movie paradise once showed war movies; now it's the location for one. The holes in the screen have been filled with snipers. The popcorn is stale, but they're still serving up hot lead in the concession stand.

"Drive-In is a small map, very fast paced,"...
