249w ago - Here is the European PSN update, courtesy of Mike Kebby from the SCEE PlayStation Store Team.

To quote: You may have seen already that the WipEout HD Fury Complete Pack hit the store yesterday (to match the retail release), this pack combines the full game and recent Fury pack in one handy bundle and there is literally hours of gameplay here waiting for you. We'll also have the full games Uno, Mushroom Wars and the strangeness that is .detuned ready for download later today.

We'll also have a new quiz for Buzz!, so you can test your knowledge of all things spacey (that's the thing above the sky, not the actor), a new pack and bundle for Lumines Supernova, and a few new bits and bobs for High Velocity Bowling. As usual there are also new tracks and packs for Rock Band and Guitar Hero too.

We've also got our next batch of dynamic themes available, so you can customise your XMB with animations from the worlds of PixelJunk Monsters, Pain and High Velocity Bowling.

Finally, from today until Monday morning you can download the first Map Pack for Call of Duty: World at War at a reduced price.

I'm sure most of you this week will be playing Uncharted 2 anyway won't you? If not, I prescribe an immediate dose of Nathan Drake...well, what are you waiting for,...

European PlayStation Store Update for October 8, 2009

250w ago - Today SCEE PlayStation Store Team Mike Kebby has posted the European PSN update, as follows:

It's been pretty hectic here since last week's store update (and Media Go store launch), but that's not to say we haven't been busy putting together more content for you this week.

We should also be back to normal service regarding update times, but we'll update the post once the stores are live (I believe Jem may even be planning to tweet you all once it's live too).

I think we've carried on the PSP momentum fairly well this week, with a few more minis titles available; Sudoku, Mahjongg Tales, Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam, (and made those released last week available to some additional stores) another batch of PSP games such as Tomb Raider Legend, Daxter, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman! and Prinny?

Can I Really Be the Hero?, as well as a couple of new PSP games releasing on Friday morning (Obscure the Aftermath and NBA Live 10). We have also added some special offers to the PSP Store (and Media Go) and more information on these can be found in the content list below.

Our PS3 content also grows this week, with the addition of two games, Comet Crash and Digger HD, whilst we also finish off the Fallout 3 DLC with the final two packs Point Lookout and Mothership...

PS3 250GB Bundle with Gray Box Spotted at European Retailer

350°
251w ago - Recently Sony announced that new PS3 250GB bundles were heading for Europe, and this past week UK Retail Pricing was also confirmed.

Today Engadget received a picture (below) of a 250GB PS3 Slim bundle spotted at an unspecified retail store in Europe.

Although it's a bit hard to tell from the image, it appears the 250GB PlayStation 3 bundles come in a gray box, versus the original white one pictured to the right.

To quote: "The new 250 PS3 Slim might be listed 'in stock' on Amazon.co.uk, but it's not arriving until October 6th according to the online retailer.

This particular model, however, is up for sale right this instant at some unnamed retail store in Europe - even though it's hanging out behind a rather messy help desk in this particular shot."

European PlayStation Store Update for October 1, 2009

251w ago - Today Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted up the European PlayStation Store update, as follows:

So, we've finally arrived to this week's update - I hope you're all ready for the rundown, as there's a lot of content on offer this week.

Usually I list the PS3 specific content first, but seeing as this week we're all excited about the PSP Go launch, the new Media Go store launching (replacing the PC based Media Manager application), and the first batch of minis titles hitting the store, the PSP content list will take the headlining slot today.

The minis range of titles launches with games such as Tetris, Fieldrunners, Pinball Fantasies and Hero of Sparta available (amongst others), and these bitesize games (all under 100MB) come in under the £4/€5 mark and offer a lot of value for their size!

We also have brand new PSP games released such as Gran Turismo, MotorStorm Arctic Edge, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (with our favourite God of War Kratos featuring as a playable character) and also available from Friday morning we'll have FIFA 10 and Beaterator.

The games for PSP don't stop there though, with a host of legacy titles hitting the store featuring such titles as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City...

European PlayStation Store Update for September 24, 2009

252w ago - Here is the European PSN update, courtesy of Mike Kebby from the SCEE PlayStation Store Team:

Howdy all, another week, another dollop of content for you all

I know it's a tough act to follow last week's offering, but I think we've done a good job of carrying on the momentum - but I leave it to you to see what you think.

Heavy Weapon joins the PSN game list on the store, we have three demos for you this week, starting with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, then a slice of Lost Planet 2 (with those extra bits to play for us PS3 owners) and if you didn't check out The Punisher: No Mercy when it was released a while back, we also have a demo for that title now available too.

The standout bit of content this week for me (and that's because I am a self-confessed fanboy) is the Broken Steel pack for Fallout 3, but we also have more challenges for Batman: Arkham Asylum, and extra content for UFC Unleashed 2009, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Madden NFL 10, Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Speaking of Guitar Hero we also have some special offers on a selection of tracks for this week only, and there are more details on this in the content list below.

For our PSP users you can test your rallying skills with Colin McRae DiRT 2, play with your food in Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs...
