80w ago - Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) Executive Director of Development Lorin Jameson has shared details today on DC Online Universe, which he states is now free to play your way on PS3!
To quote: Remember back in September when we announced that DC Universe Online was going to be Free-To-Play? Well, it's here!
Starting today you can download DCUO from the PlayStation Store for free, and play all you want with no monthly fee required. Experience the game play features that have gotten players excited about DCUO since it launched, including the intense, fast-action brawler style combat system that makes it feel more like an action game than a massive online game.
Now, you can see for yourself how DCUO offers the best of both worlds. Fight, fly, speed, battle with friends, pummel your enemies, explore the amazing locales of the DC Universe, hobnob with Wonder Woman... all for free!
We're really excited about this transition because you all have been asking us to make this change, and now we've done it - we're making DCUO accessible to so many more players.
We heard all of you out there who told us at conventions, on Facebook and elsewhere that you'd love to jump in to the game, if only it didn't have that pesky monthly fee. Well, now's your chance. With our three...
81w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared an FAQ on PixelJunk SideScroller below, which is now live on PSN today!
To quote: PixelJunk SideScroller is finally out in the world! This retro-styled side-scrolling shooter plays like a love note to the arcade games I grew up with in my youth, and serves as a quasi-epilogue to the PixelJunk Shooter series.
Before you pick it up on the PlayStation Store, get a closer look with this handy new Q&A. Q-Games President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert took to Twitter to answer your most burning questions. Read closely and you might learn a few helpful secrets!
Q: How many levels come with PixelJunk SideScroller?
A: There are 13 levels (called "Sectors") in total. This includes four absolutely amazing boss battles (Note: Expect an "old friend" from the Shooter-verse to make an appearance, but you'll be seeing loads of new faces as well).
One thing that's so great about SideScroller is that it has four difficulty modes, and the experience will change depending on what difficulty mode you select. New enemies crop up in Hard difficulty mode, and expect certain encounters to get a whole lot more harrowing because of them.
