1050°
193w ago - Every once and awhile when something big happens in the non-PS3 console scene we report it, and this weekend C4E has released iXtreme Slim LT+ which allows the world's first game backups to run on an XBox 360 Slim console!

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / LTPlus 9504 / JungleFlasher v0.1.81 Beta 226 / Dash Launch v2.21

To quote: World first backups for XBOX 360 Slim

• For Liteon Drive 9504

New protection measures for slim:

Realtime checks of drive firmware and ram by dashboard - Rootkit technology used to pass several realtime check types. These checks on the drive are open ended so as to make replay of the answers impossible. Will pass any check on any part of the drive

Hardware flash modification check - The 1335 chip performs a hardware check on powerup for modified firmware. Chip fooled into thinking firmware is stock

Slim drive locked to read pressed game discs only - Enabled reading of DVD+R DL media for game discs

XBox 360 Spekter Color-Changing GhostCase is Reviewed!

200°
210w ago - In the last few days I recieved the latest color changing [Register or Login to view links] to review.

For those unaware, this XBox 360 case mod changes color as you play- the hotter your XBox 360 gets, the more it changes color.

The kit included all needed tools to open the XBox 360 case, if you ever opened one of these you know how handy the tools are.

Box Contents:
  • XBox 360 top and bottom shell
  • Matching Faceplate
  • DVD Tray Bezel with Buttons
  • DVD Drive Lid (Compatable with Sansung, Hitachi & BenQ only)
  • Universal Plug and Play dual LED Light Kit (I recieved Blue)
  • Case Opening Tools

The Install: The supplied parts were of a high quality plastic (not at all thin and flimsy) and went together fairly easily. The rear clips did aggravate me not wanting to clip together at first. After all was said and done I proceeded to clip on the HD, however, the rear slot for the hard drive wasn't exactly the same as the drive and wouldn't let the HD click in place correctly. This was fixed easy enough with a hobby knife and a steady hand.

Pros:
  • Lightweight parts and high quality plastic.
  • Very in-depth instructions...

Video: New XBox 360 Hack AP2.5 Exploit Defeats Game Protection

350°
216w ago - Last week we reported on a new XBox 360 video game protection, and today SoulHeaven at Logic-Sunrise.com (linked above) shared a hack that allows users to bypass Microsoft's new AP2.5 dashboard 12611 update via exploit to play Fable 3 using a chip.

To quote, roughly translated: This hack requires the use of the chip x360SED v1.0 created by SoulHeaven and will be sold within a few days exclusively on Librasoft Consoles and LS Store.

The principle is simple:

• Install the chip x360SED between the 360 mainboard and the DVD player, and solder the one wire on the sync button on the console controllers
• Install your Fable III on your console's hard drive (From an original or a backup)
• Insert the game Fable III until it is recognized by the dashboard (Image of the game while taking the square)
• Press the sync button levers to eject the game Fable III
• Insert an original game Xbox 360 (Any), press again and the sync button controllers
• Press A to start the game Fable III starts without worries.

Those interested can check out the POC video below of it in action!
