230w ago - Today an NISA News Letter came with the confirmation of the Disgaea 3 PS3 trophy patch release date and some sad news to those who have 200+ hours of gameplay...
To quote: The Disgaea 3 Trophy patch will be available on the PSN on July 16th. There are more than 50 trophies you can accomplish! Since Disgaea 3 was developed without the trophy system, your saved data will not be usuable with this Trophy patch.
So make certain you are prepared to give up your current save data in order to challenge yourself to collecting these trophies!
Please read the press release for more details, and see the complete PS3 Trophy List (PDF).
After all the pain to collect all fragments and butterflies you gain 3 in-game trophies which are not even in the normal trophy system. So the thought of Xi to continue is near and if you now go to the manhole on the central plaza you can visit the lounge for people who finished XI. New quests are waiting for you there ;-)
237w ago - Recently iTrophies for your iPhone or iPod touch was just upgraded to version 2.0 Apple App Store, with added several new features included.
iTrophies 2.0 is a handy app that syncs your own PlayStation 3 Trophy data to your iPhone and not only allows you to see which trophies you have earned but which ones you still have to get.
One thing pretty unique with iTrophies that seems to set it apart from the crowd is that fact that is actually supports live syncing, so no longer will you have to manually select each trophy that you have earned.
With the help of a set by set guide which is found over on their Web site they will help you do the hard part in a matter of minutes.
Another thing that PS3 iTrophies allows is the ability to look at the live status of everyone on your friends list, yo uwill be able to see if they are online or not, their comments, what they are playing, and even compare overall trophy stats with them.
PS3 iTrophies also contains a break down off all your games, showing you which trophies you have earned and which you still have to get, along with info about how...
237w ago - Here's a little application I wrote, when I was bored. Basically it scans for PS3 game trophy related files like icons and the description files containing the missions to unlock a trophy and it's status (bronze, silver, gold, platinum).
The difference between the application and all the public websites which have trophy lists is, that it also will find trophies which are not released to the press people, yet. So you can be sure this will find trophies directly when they are online, even before the journalists get the info
You have to have curl installed by the way. It's in every Linux repositories so you simply can install it via the terminal. For example in debian distros you only need to open the terminal and enter sudo apt-get install curl to install it.
248w ago - Pictured below are the official designs for the PSN Trophy cards, which PlayFire.com has revealed to its members in conjunction with SCEE.
PlayFire took the bull by the horns when SCEA released its Trophy features on PlayStation.com and allowed users to sync their PlayFire cards with their Trophy info.
It's not automatic, but it's a lot faster than adding them individually. These new official cards, however, will "update automatically based on the Portal." We're not sure what the "Portal" is, but a Trophy card that updates automatically sounds great to us.
These Trophy cards will be available from eu.playstation.com (though you can use a PSN account from any region) at some point soon. We'll be sure to let you know when they go live.
