Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Reviews Start to Come Out

100°
318w ago - The first couple of review scores for Star Wars: the Force Unleashed have made their way onto the Interwebs thanks to GameRankings.com and various forums.

The Official Xbox Magazine gave a score of a 7.5/10, calling it an "Entertaining story," but "Is less polished than the Jedia Knight game."

The US version of the Official PlayStation Magazine gave a little lower score at 3.5/5. At this time, we couldn't find an article for OPM.

The Nintendo Power review also gave it a 7.5/10 saying, "You can hack and slash with your lightsaber, which isn't as satisfying as I'd hoped." Isn't that the only reason why we would buy that version?

Although the scores are more positive than negative, it is disappointing to see such an average score from a game we are excited to play. We still feel the game will have an unbelievable story-line and it could be worth purchasing just for that, even if the gameplay is not up to par as some others.

Bionic Start-Up Developing for Wii

50°
335w ago - Bionic Games is a new development studio based in North Hollywood actively recruiting team members to work on an unannounced action adventure game for the Wii. The game will be an original IP, and a few minor details can be gleaned from the company's job listings.

Bionic is looking for a Lead Animator to oversee, among other things, "high quality pre-rendered cinematics." The game is a third-person adventure.

Apparently, Bionic has picked up a former Obsidian employee named Mike Stout to serve as its Creative Director. Stout was Lead Level Designer at Obsidian, presumably working on the Alien RPG. Before that he was Senior Designer/Multiplayer Lead at Insomniac Games, maker of Resistance: Fall of Man.

Bionic has also nabbed a former Audio Lead at Blizzard named Bill Black, who worked on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Black is serving as Bionic's Director of Audio and Video. He is responsible for in-game dialogue, so it sounds like this Wii title could be story-driven with a good amount of voice acting.

Rockstar: If GTA IV freezes, erase Game Data and Start Over

200°
335w ago - According to mclaren777 at the US PlayStation Forums, a Rockstar employee has said that those who are experiencing problems with GTA IV freezing should "erase the Game Data (the original install and the game saves) and then start over." This apparently solves the issue.

To quote: I had this same problem so I called Rockstar. The lady on the phone told me to erase the game data (the original install and the game saves) and then start over. I did what she told me to do and the freezing problem went away.

And can the person who made this thread please include this information in the original post?

Edit: I have a 60GB NTSC launch unit.
