50°
240w ago - In a follow-up to the earlier update, Online Community Specialist Locust_Star has just announced that both Star Wars and Indiana Jones items and gear is coming to PlayStation Home as part of several new additions.

To quote: I challenge you to log in to PlayStation Home this Thursday, February 18th and try to wade through the wide assortment of new stuff we'll have waiting for you.

We're talking two new game spaces (MotorStorm and LocoRoco), two new personal spaces (LocoRoco and PlanetLand), a new Mall (full of Star Wars gear - including lightsabers, Stormtrooper costumes, and more!), new videos in the Theater (for [Register or Login to view links], and [Register or Login to view links]) and events galore.

We have a lot to look and just a little space to do it in, so let's get down to it!

When you pull up your World Map this Thursday, you'll notice that the MotorStorm chip has reappeared, along with a brand new MotorStorm game space.

The new MotorStorm Super Carrier is essentially a battleship turned full-on party boat, custom-crafted for all of you road warriors that are looking for the...

Video: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II VGA 2009 Debut Trailer

100°
249w ago - A debut trailer video for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 was revealed during the 2009 VGAs last night.

Showing only CG footage, you'll play as the Apprentice once again, but this time he doesn't seem to be siding with the Sith or any specific side of the Force.

Yoda and Darth Vader are heard talking to him throughout the trailer telling him about loss and death.

If these will play major roles in the game isn't known right now, but it could be a major plot development point for the game, much like Anakin Skywalker's decent into darkness out of fear of losing his loved ones.

The trailer shows him doing battle in what appears to be an arena and then ends.

263w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has announced Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition along with support for PS3 Trophies.

To quote: I know the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been out for about a year now, but with the recent addition of PSN Trophies to the title and a new version of the game hitting soon (Ultimate Sith Edition), I figured there'd be plenty of you giving the game a first (or second) look.

Also, LucasArts Presidio campus is pretty much the coolest workplace location on the planet, so we had no problem coming back

So after Chris was done taking a look at Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron for PSP, Assistant Production Manager Cameron Suey popped the updated Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition into the PS3.

This version packs a couple of interesting What if? levels onto the original game, as well as some new trophies to boot (eagle eyes will catch our demo dude unlocking one late in the video).

Let the wampa slaughter commence!

Videos: First Footage of Star Wars: The Old Republic in Action

250°
263w ago - During today's Star Wars: The Old Republic panel at PAX 09, BioWare showed Kotaku (linked above) the first glimpse of the Republic's Trooper class in action.

To quote: "Not only do we have footage of the Trooper, which is The Old Republic's version of the Clone and eventual Storm, Sand, Snow, and Marshmallow Troopers, but we captured a little bit of Sith Warrior gameplay as well, in case you are more of a Dark Side of the Force kind of person.

Sorry about the quality, but this was taken off a screen and you get what you pay for."
