154w ago - The Fancy Pants Adventures Creator Brad Borne has confirmed today that the PSN title will be heading to PlayStation Network for fans in Spring 2011.
To quote: I'm crazy excited to be here to talk about The Fancy Pants Adventures. I created the first game in Flash while I was in college, and now, many years later, the series is making the jump to console.
It's a dream come true for me, I really couldn't be more excited to give you guys the best game that EA, Over The Top and I could possibly create.
I grew up playing video games, and I love knowing that players are finally going to experience The Fancy Pants Adventures in that classic video gaming zen, on a comfy sofa, with a controller in their hands.
One of the most fun aspects of creating the Flash game was engaging the community and the fans. That is incredibly important to me and something I absolutely want to be able to continue in the move to the PS3.
What's also awesome today is that instead of just talking about the game, I'm able to let everyone who's interested CHECK OUT the Fancy Pants Man's latest adventure before release!!
171w ago - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has shared details on Virtua Tennis 4 and PlayStation Move today, and confirmed it will be hitting the PS3 entertainment system in Spring 2011.
To quote: I recently spoke to the game's Executive Producer, Mie Kumagai, and asked why she had chosen to develop a tennis game when she served us the first in the Virtua Tennis series, back in 1999.
"When we first started the series, we wanted to make a casual arcade game that everyone could pick up and enjoy," she said.
"Sport seemed like a good place to start because it appeals to many people that wouldn't usually play games. That was the start of the series, but we reached a point where we were looking for something new; it's around this time that we heard about PlayStation Move."
Virtua Tennis 4 lets you step into the shoes of some of the world's best tennis pros. Every swing of the racquet can be performed with the PlayStation Move motion controller and you can judge the approach of the ball better than ever, thanks to stereoscopic 3D support. I asked Kumagai for her thoughts on Move and her philosophy behind working with a motion controller.
"I saw PlayStation Move at quite an early stage in its development," she replied, "and I remember being curious...
182w ago - Today Sega of America's Assistant Community Manager Aaron Webber has confirmed that Yakuza 4 is coming exclusively to PS3 in Spring, 2011.
To quote: After some amazing passion seen across the board from fans regarding the release of Yakuza 3, SEGA is proud to announce that the fourth installment of the Yakuza series is heading West, and will be releasing exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in the spring of 2011!
Yakuza 4 also builds on the style of the original Yakuza foundation by adding three new playable characters, each with a distinct personality and fighting style.
They all have connections to the Tojo clan – but what those connections are, and what they mean with regard to a man named Kazuma Kiryu, is just one part of what will truly make things interesting.
We'd also like to confirm what we feel is important news for our fans: the Hostess Clubs will be returning in Yakuza 4!
Finally, we'd like to let you guys field questions to the man whose name goes hand in hand with the Yakuza (or Ryu Ga Gotoku in Japan) series himself: Nagoshi-san!...

194w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has unveiled today news that PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap is coming to PSP via PSN this Spring and PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe is heading to UMD.
To quote: I'm here to make it official and let everyone know that we will be releasing PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap on the PlayStation Network this Spring.
So, to recap for those who haven't seen the various blogged reports on it, PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap is a bit of a fan service really - we went back to the original Racers and added Trophies, but we didn't want to just stop there (just adding the bare minimum isn't really what we do).
So we added a whole new feature - ghost attack. What this does is record how you played whenever you register a new score on the high score tables, so anyone else in the world (including your friends of course) can play against you, trying to best your score.
On top of that we made the single-player tournament a little easier to complete, so you can open up the ghost attack and various party modes even more quickly (and of course gain those Trophies more easily too!).
Just to go on the record - this game *isn't* really a racing game. It's as much a racing game as, say, Rally-X was back in the day, really.
