145w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has confirmed that PixelJunk Shooter 2 hits PSN today with a new Online Battle Mode.
To quote: The sequel to the technically and critically acclaimed PixelJunk Shooter will be with us later today!
It continues where the original left off, leaving you trapped in the deep dark bowels of an enormous alien entity.
Fight through the backwash and encounter the weird and terrible monsters that are living in the alien's gut, force your way through putrid stomach acid and strange slippery bubbly stuff, and be totally grossed out by thousands of iddy-biddy insects that come pouring out of strange pulsating larvae when you mix water with it.
Yes, this is a game you probably want to avoid playing immediately after eating, and you might feel a little queasy the next time you are staring down Sparrow-on-a-stick (a Kyoto traditional cruisine).
But wait... PixelJunk Shooter 2 isn't all about dieting and worm control! It has vast new worlds to explore that aren't part of an organism's digestive track, and new technologies too, such as the Hungry Suit and the Light Suit and a whole load more.
Use the new R3 spin-attack to wipe out chains of enemies at a time and revel in the destructive mayhem...
148w ago - Sony Associate Product Marketing Manager Richard Ho has posted up a video today of the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter featuring Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 for the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: My name is Richard Ho and I'm part of the SCEA marketing team that has brought you familiar peripherals such as the DUALSHOCK 3, Bluetooth Headset and Surround Sound System.
Back in December we showed you the new PlayStation Move sharp shooter and its compatibility with Killzone 3.
Today, we took some time to walk you through the sharp shooter's anatomy and show you how it works in action with two of our most anticipated games - Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs.
The PlayStation Move sharp shooter's authentic design allows you to literally take aim and move into the firefight with the most intuitive and immersive control experience for shooter games. For those of you FPS fans on the fence about the sharp shooter, here are a few things to consider:
Developers for Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 have created their games with the sharp shooter in mind. There are customization screens available to adjust the sharp shooter settings which will allow for a perfect gaming experience.
155w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a video today of Killzone 3 meeting the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter on the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: Last week saw the introduction of the PlayStation Move sharp shooter, an upcoming peripheral which transforms the PlayStation Move motion controller into a sleek assault rifle designed for hardcore shooters such as Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4.
The sharp shooter's feature set is extensive, so I went hands-on to learn more about its functionality and (surprisingly easy) setup process. Guerrilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst and I field tested the PS3's new weapon of choice.
Developed with input from the FPS experts at Guerrilla Games and Zipper Interactive, the sharp shooter is a snap to assemble: you secure a navigation controller into the foregrip, then fasten the PlayStation Move motion controller into the "barrel," which connects to a small digital port on the bottom of the PlayStation Move called the extension connector.
In comparison, the PlayStation Move Shooting Attachment is mechanical; the sharp shooter's use of the extension connector means that buttons...
156w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has made available a video today showcasing PixelJunk Shooter 2 PSN online battles, 20 weapons, and a new boss.
To quote: Here at Q-Games we've been ultra-busy finishing PixelJunk Shooter 2; unfortunately it took a little longer than we expected but that's because of a number of (very cool) reasons!
You may have already heard, but PixelJunk Shooter 2 has the most insanely fun online Versus mode that has ever been created. Rather than just do a simple battling-type system, we created a special cat-and-mouse type game which has you and the enemy take turns as cat or mouse, either scouring the stage for the other player or running away from him.
The trick being that the "mouse" is invisible to the other player unless he views you directly, so you can sneak around collecting the survivors and transporting them to your base. Each survivor that goes into your base is an extra point. But watch out: When it is the other player's turn to play mouse they can steal them back if they are cunning enough.
Carefully laid out on top of this really addictive core game is a league system that earns you "money" that you can use to buy...
156w ago - Today Sony's Hardware Product Marketing Manager Anand Agarwal has revealed a new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter Attachment which will arrive next February.
To quote: There's been a lot of talk about what shooter games will be like using motion control.
We know that some of you gamers might be a bit hesitant to put down the gamepad, but we believe the upcoming PlayStation Move sharp shooter will make motion control for shooter games quite irresistible.
Available concurrently with the highly anticipated Killzone 3 in Feb 2011 for $39.99 (MSRP), the sharp shooter is perfect for gamers who want to experience the most realistic action possible.
The PlayStation Move sharp shooter houses both the motion controller and navigation controller, giving you complete control over aiming, movement and interaction within the game. It will truly offer the most intuitive and immersive control experience ever found in a shooter game.
It was designed for both comfort and precision, including easily accessible buttons, a responsive digital trigger, adjustable shoulder stock and convenient access to the navigation controller. In addition, the sharp shooter has incorporated a firing mode selector, realistic pump-action and a reload button that allow for new ways of engagement.
