173w ago - Today at GamesCom Sega has officially unveiled Virtua Tennis 4 for PS3, which includes both PlayStation Move and 3D support.
Press Release: SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd. are thrilled to announce that the critically acclaimed Virtua Tennis series is in development for PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, featuring full PlayStation Move compatibility and 3D technology.
Developed in Japan by the original Virtua Tennis Team, Virtua Tennis 4, releasing in 2011, promises a more immersive, true to life tennis experience than ever before.
Virtua Tennis 4 with the PlayStation Move is more than just hitting the ball; it's about the angle of the racquet, the spin and speed of the ball and the power of the shot.
The advanced motion sensors of PlayStation Move precisely track both the fast and subtle movements of the controller allowing for pinpoint accurate shots as players improve their racquet skills. Virtua Tennis 4 will also support 3D technology delivering unprecedented realism to the tennis experience, bringing you closer than ever to being out on the court.

183w ago - Today Sega of America's Assistant Community Manager Aaron Webber has confirmed that Yakuza 4 is coming exclusively to PS3 in Spring, 2011.
To quote: After some amazing passion seen across the board from fans regarding the release of Yakuza 3, SEGA is proud to announce that the fourth installment of the Yakuza series is heading West, and will be releasing exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in the spring of 2011!
Yakuza 4 also builds on the style of the original Yakuza foundation by adding three new playable characters, each with a distinct personality and fighting style.
They all have connections to the Tojo clan – but what those connections are, and what they mean with regard to a man named Kazuma Kiryu, is just one part of what will truly make things interesting.
We'd also like to confirm what we feel is important news for our fans: the Hostess Clubs will be returning in Yakuza 4!
Finally, we'd like to let you guys field questions to the man whose name goes hand in hand with the Yakuza (or Ryu Ga Gotoku in Japan) series himself: Nagoshi-san!...
196w ago - Sega of America's Assistant Community Manager Aaron Webber has officially announced today that Yakuza 3 is finally hitting PS3 entertainment systems on Western shores.
To quote: The big day is finally here. As Yakuza 3 begins the journey to stores across the west, we take another look at what makes Yakuza 3 something you'll find only on the PS3.
"If there's one thing about Yakuza that these last few months have taught people," I thought as I sat at lunch on Monday, "It's that the fans are a force to take seriously... usually."
Fans can be the biggest allies and proponents of games that may not be the huge, multi-million sellers like (insert generic FPS here), or (insert additional generic FPS here).
They can create amazing successes for games that were never expected to have them - looking at you, Valkyria Chronicles - and they can just as easily do the opposite, in some cases.
But more than anything, most fans just want to be heard. Fans want interaction, and to be responded to. So let's begin this blog post by jumping right in to one of the biggest things fans have been asking about: the content.
Yakuza 3 is huge. Besides exploring Tokyo and Okinawa, you can also visit restaurants,...
199w ago - Today Online Community Manager Kevin Eva has announced Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing PS3 demo is now available on PSN.
To quote: I'm pleased to confirm that the PSN demo of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is now available for you to download.
The SUMO Digital team have been working hard to provide a truly luscious visual experience and you'll be able to get a taste of what All-Star Racing action is all about.
The PlayStation 3 has its own track not available on any other platform's demo which is based off of Blizzard Castle from Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg.
The track called Rampart Road has you quite literally racing all over the castle itself as you avoid rolling eggs, heavy snow drifts and devious crows - they may look like cats but they are indeed crows!
You'll have two characters to play in the demo, Sonic The Hedgehog (obviously) and Dr. Eggman, their vehicles have their own specific traits - try both of them and see.
As an FYI, you can alter the difficulty settings, the demo should be set to "Advanced" from the get go but you can reduce this to Basic if you find the action a little too intense.
Master drifting around corners and pull off aerial tricks to get a speed boost. Use the range of weapons available to...
