Burnin' Rubber for PSP and PS3 Minis is Now Available on PSN

50°
153w ago - G1M2 Founder Scott Hawkins has announced today that Burnin' Rubber (aka Bump 'n' Jump) for PSP and PS3 Minis is now available on PSN for $3.99.

To quote: We are very excited to announce the release of our latest PlayStation Minis game, Burnin' Rubber, arriving for PSP (and PS3) on Tuesday June 22.

Burnin' Rubber is a classic arcade game that was originally released by Data East in 1982. Many people also know this game by the name "Bump 'n' Jump."

In addition to driving really fast (hence the name "Burnin' Rubber"), you have the ability to crash into other cars and launch your car high up in the air to avoid obstacles, clear water gaps, and crush opponents from above (hence the alternative name "Bump 'n' Jump").

Players earn points by taking out other cars and by making progress through each of the courses in the game. There is a little known bonus for clearing a level without taking out any enemies -- but I personally prefer to smash as many cars as possible!

We added some cool extra features to the PlayStation Minis version of the game including the ability to save and load your game at any point, toggle arcade game settings, and...

Video: Coconut Dodge for PS3 and PSP Minis Gets a Free Update

50°
153w ago - FuturLab's Managing Director James Marsden has announced today alongside a video that Coconut Dodge for PS3 and PSP Minis is getting a free update soon.

To quote: I didn't think I would be back here so soon, but we've been hard at work creating a free update to Coconut Dodge!

It's essentially a Director's cut, as we've had a bit more time on our hands to add extra polish and extra features! We've also listened to all the feedback you've given us so far, and implemented a bunch of your suggestions

Here's a list of the updates:

1) 3 Lives - This has been the most requested feature. The game is still a great challenge with three lives, and to reward you for playing the game without being hit, you'll get 20,000 bonus points on levels 10, 20 and 30 if you manage to do it without being hit at all. So, the hardest of the hardcore will have the highest score

2) Quit and Restart from Pause menu. This is something we wanted to do initially, but didn't have the time. It's now in all modes of the game (gave something away there!) and works as expected!

3) A different SuperTurbo run animation. It's faster, with bigger plumes of sand, so that you can tell easier when you've activated SuperTurbo speed.

4) A subtle sound...

Mahjongg Artifacts for PSP Minis Arrives to PSN on June 9, 2010

50°
155w ago - G5 Entertainment's Business Development Director Julia Palatovska has announced today that Mahjongg Artifacts for PSP Minis will be arriving on PSN tomorrow- June 9, 2010.

To quote: I want to introduce a new mini game for your "classical" game collection: meet Mahjongg Artifacts, arriving on PSP tomorrow, June 9!

Mahjongg Artifacts is a beautiful and engaging classical board game that is a prequel to Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 which you probably already tried on PSP!

Yes, I know - this is not typical to release the prequel after a sequel, but haven't you ever started reading a book from the end? Both chapters of Mahjongg Artifacts have a Story Mode featuring main character's quest for lost relics. Thus, finally you have a chance to discover how the story of the game started!

Mahjongg Artifacts features three play modes which take you through five exotic cultures: China, Greece, Egypt, Mexico and Atlantis. The Story Mode represents a captivating comic story that unfolds a mystery of lost relics as long as you master the mahjong game, which becomes more and more complicated on each level.

Besides, you have exciting twists like bonuses and special tiles to enhance your winning strategies in the quest. Bonuses and powerups differ from those in Mahjongg...

Video: Cubixx for PSP and PS3 Minis is Coming to PSN Store

50°
155w ago - Laughing Jackal Senior Producer Al Evans has shared a video trailer today of Cubixx, which is coming soon to the PSN Store for PSP and PS3 Minis at $3.99 each.

To quote: Laughing Jackal is pleased to announce that our first PlayStation minis title, Cubixx, is coming to the US PSN Store on June 8th, 2010 for the great price of $3.99!

Cubixx has been very well received in our native EU PSN Store, and now we're sharing the cuboid love with our friends across the Atlantic. We hope you'll take this opportunity to check out this super-addictive retro title. Be there, or be, um... cube-shaped, I guess.

Cubixx takes inspiration from a couple of older games of the same type and tasks the player with using their laser to cut away the surfaces of a mysterious cube and free the energy within. Cutting longer lines and crossing multiple cube surfaces will reward you with larger combos, but at far greater risk.

The game features 20 levels of increasingly lunatic difficulty, we really do challenge anyone sane to try and beat Cubixx's 20th level. Many...

Video: Vibes for PSP and PS3 Minis is Coming Soon to PSN

100°
155w ago - Laughing Jackal Senior Producer Al Evans has announced today alongside a video trailer that Vibes for both PSP and PS3 Minis is coming soon to PSN for $5.49.

To quote: Just another quick announcement to let you all know about our exciting third PlayStation minis title for PSP and PS3, Vibes, which will release on the PlayStation Store on June 8th at the price of $5.49.

Vibes is an action-packed rhythm game that includes a lucky 13 music tracks, covering everything from Classical to J-Pop, to Psychobilly, to Punk. With three levels of difficulty your finger will be well and truly wrecked.

The game is squarely aimed at fans of the rhythm-based genre and has a steep learning curve, so if you think you have conquered Guitar Hero then give this a try. Starting off on the Easy difficulty allows the player to get used to the control mechanism -- the difficulty then builds and builds, and will push players to the limit on the harder difficulty settings.

One feature we're particularly proud of is the music-video inspired background sequences during gameplay. These not only look awesome, but they're also hilarious (if I do say so myself), and feature things such as pulsating ducks, throbbing buildings and flexing sumo wrestlers....
