7w ago - Frozenbyte's Kai announced today that the Trine 2: Complete Story is coming to PS4 with details below!
To quote: Hi everyone! This is Kai from Finnish game developer Frozenbyte. We're the studio behind the Shadowgrounds and Trine franchises.
Last week rumours started circling that we would be working on a port of Trine 2 for the PlayStation 4. Well, we're happy to tell you that the rumours are indeed true! Trine 2: Complete Story is headed for the PlayStation 4!
Trine 2: Complete Story is a sidescrolling game filled with action, puzzles, and platforming. You play as the Thief, the Wizard and the Knight, known as the Three Heroes, who make their way through dangers untold in a fantastical fairytale world.
We're self publishing Trine 2: Complete Story on PS4, and it's the very latest version of the game, including a total of 20 exciting levels full of adventure (that's the main campaign, plus the expansion Goblin Menace and the secret level Dwarven Caverns).
PlayStation 4 has allowed us to go all-out on the technical side, so you'll get to enjoy the beautiful graphics in 1080p resolution at 60 FPS! What's more, the game also supports stereoscopic 3D! With 3D displays becoming more common every day, we've made sure Trine 2: Complete Story is a treat to play in...
8w ago - Following up on his previous update, today Sony's Shuhei Yoshida discusses PS4 automatic game caching, voice commands without the PlayStation 4 PS Eye and more below!
To quote: Shuhei Yoshida via his personal Twitter account has revealed never heard before details about PlayStation 4.
Yoshida first confirmed that PlayStation 4 does automatic cashing to games, and its not the mandatory install. This is really huge news for Playstation 4, it basically mean, if you want to play CoD Ghosts and Killzone, you won't need 100GB of space (50GB each,) you'll just need 50GB to cache them. That's so cool!
David Magalhaes (DiamondDM13): Sorry to ask this here, but I'm confused. Does the PS4 have mandatory game installs to the HDD? Or is that optional?
Shuhei Yoshida (yosp): it's automatic, not install but caching data
Furthermore, Yoshida went on to confirmed Voice Commands are available without PlayStation Eye i.e via available via Mic and DualShock 4 controller.
Jefferson Keane (Jefferson_Keane): Voice commands are available without PS eye ? I mean with the mic and the DS4 ?
8w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements went hands-on today with NBA 2K14 on PlayStation 4 complete with a PS4 video below.
To quote: The dedicated team behind the next-gen edition of NBA 2K14 has an eye for detail. And not just a normal, everyday eye; they have hundreds of eyes, hell-bent on making this the best basketball experience in video game history.
Their passion just about bled onto the floor of a crowded San Francisco bar earlier this week as they presented NBA 2K14 running on PS4. It was easy to see, from the first trailer to the final multiplayer tease, that NBA 2K14 is visually arresting, and damn fun to play.
As the footage of NBA 2K14 looped over the massive bar displays, the team were insistent that the PS4 version was not a simple port job. It was built from the ground up for next-gen tech, and they made their point by announcing the brand new engine powering the action: Ecomotion.
The art assets in NBA 2K14 have been built from scratch - not a single legacy piece of art remains from the current-gen version. As Studio Art Director Anton Dawson said at the demonstration, making this look like a real, next-gen basketball game came down to "thousands of little things, and the interconnectedness of those thousands of little things."

9w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman is back with a Killzone Shadow Fall PS4 video today alongside answers to PlayStation 4 questions from fans below.
To quote: As Killzone Shadow Fall gears up for PS4's November 15th launch in North America, we caught up with Game Director Steven Ter Heide to get answers to your burning questions across single-player and multiplayer.
We reveal new details on co-op, dedicated servers, weapons, DualShock 4, and much more. Enjoy!
@ShawnMacLean: Is Killzone Shadow Fall a good entry point to the Killzone franchise?
Steven Ter Heide: Absolutely! In many ways, Killzone Shadow Fall is a fresh start for the franchise - the game takes place some thirty years after the original Killzone trilogy, so most of the characters and story arcs from those games have passed into history. And while die-hard fans will appreciate the nods to earlier Killzone titles, no knowledge of the Killzone universe is required to get into the story.
@nick_serio: How long is the campaign?
STH: Killzone Shadow Fall's campaign should last well over 10 hours for most gamers.
