224w ago - Remember when we reported that a Ghostbusters PS3 patch fix was being released within the next two weeks? Well, it's now available!
To quote: A patch for the PS3 version of Ghostbusters has just been released, most significantly increasing the games resolution to match that of the 360, following the internet uproar.
Here's the official word: "Both single and multiplayer modes have been updated. In single player mode, fixes include an increase in resolution to match that of Xbox360 and some freeze issues, along with numerous other localization fixes.
"Several audio/subtitle mismatches have been patched up as well. The multiplayer patches fix certain maps when both SCEA and SCEE players attempt to play with each other, and the Pay Day Trophy and Capture All Most Wanted Ghosts Trophy now unlock properly."
234w ago - Today Capcom's John Diamonon has announced news of a new Bionic Commando: Rearmed update which includes PS3 Trophies.
To quote: Capcom USA and GRIN decided to go back to the lab and work on an update for Bionic Commando Rearmed. But wait, it gets deeper.
Not only are we adding trophy support (that's right son), those over-delivering, son-of-a-guns got a little crazy and are offering a bit more:
New "Normal" difficulty setting. In this setting, the following changes are made:
• When you die, you respawn at the last solid ground or checkpoint
• The level Albatross B was cut
• The ability to reel out the cable when hanging or swinging to its full length
• If the player swings into a wall, they will no longer disconnect and be thrown away from the wall. Instead, they will keep connected and reel in
• Unlimited lives
Super Joe Machine Gun bug fix:
• When upgraded, the weapon also becomes more powerful in addition to the larger clip
• Fixed for all difficulty levels.
I hope all of you recognize the important role you play in helping us make better games. Our dialogues on...
237w ago - U.S. Producer Josh Miller has revealed that The Last Guy will be getting PS3 Trophies tomorrow, with an add-on coming next month.
To quote: I'm happy to announce that tomorrow the game will receive a free update that adds Trophies to the game. I'm excited since it gives me a reason to play through the game again.
If you haven't heard of The Last Guy, the game came out last summer, preceded by an "interesting" developer diary video. It's a classic and addictive "line" game with simple controls that uses satellite maps of real cities around the world, including San Francisco, Tokyo, and Sydney, as its levels.
Here's a trailer to get an idea of what the game is about and what the visuals look like.
You play a hero who rescues people hiding out in buildings and leads them to the safety zone for evacuation while avoiding zombie monsters that roam the streets. The bigger the line, the bigger the bonus. But bigger lines also make it harder to avoid monsters, who make people scatter when they get close.
You can use thermo vision to see where people are hiding, and pick up power-ups scattered throughout the levels to stop time, fill up your energy meter and more. The...
237w ago - Today Nao Zook, the PR/Marketing Coordinator of NIS America, Inc has announced that Cross Edge hit the PS3 console.
To quote: As of today (May 26th), Cross Edge has officially been released!
Cross Edge is a dream-come-true RPG for hardcore gamers. It is the first RPG on PLAYSTATION 3 that has 5 different companies collaborating for one incredible adventure!
You'll see some familiar faces from Darkstalkers (Capcom); Disgaea (Nippon Ichi Software); Ar tonelico (Bandai Namco); Atelier Marie and Mana Khemia 2 (Gust); and Spectral Souls (Idea Factory). And all the characters are playable. Isn't that cool?
You can also collect costumes for all the different characters, and their stats and abilities will change depending on which costume they are wearing.
And when you change costumes on female characters, their appearance will also change! It's really cute! If you are into these characters, Cross Edge is a must-have!
I would also like to talk a bit about the battle system. Cross Edge has a unique hybrid battle system that combines a classic RPG setup with an intuitive grid-based SRPG style.
In battle, a square grid will appear beneath the units, and players can move their characters...
