125w ago - Creat Studios Marketing and PR Coordinator Bill Fryer has unveiled a video of the new Test Yourself DLC packs that will be hitting PSN next week.
To quote: The next two test blocks Test Yourself: Attention and Test Yourself: Memory will be available July 26th.
As their names imply, these add-ons will measure the user's attention and memory through a series of tests. These packs will be available in North America for $1.99.
The goal of Test Yourself is to provide users with an affordable, professional assessment of various aspects of their personalities and psychological abilities.
After the release of the initial pack, we received a ton of positive feedback about this game and we are very excited to release the next part of the Test Yourself experience. Users who complete all of the test blocks will receive a full psychological portrait and will better understand the complex characteristics of their states of mind.
The initial game Test Yourself: Psychology, which included test packs for Intelligence and Nervous System, was one of the top five downloaded games on PSN and is available for $2.99.
Test Yourself is a serious scientific product developed by a team of professional psychologists and counselors....
As always, it's important to note that these PS3 Debug / TEST updates will currently NOT install on a retail PS3, and so it is intended for examination and comparison purposes only unless you own a Dev unit.
For those curious, running this updater on a retail PS3 will not damage it, however, it will give the following error before the installation completes: The data type is not supported. (8002F029)
130w ago - Over the last few days several new PS3 Debug / Test Firmware updates have been leaked outside of Sony Dev and have surfaced publicly courtesy of Cairobeta and ConsoleDev, however, no new SDK files have yet since the previous PS3 3.41 SDK file leak.
The only thing it does at the moment is connect and enable chat and console activation (Console activation is useless without access to PSN content).. It would be a waste for the feature to be shot down before it was actually useful to anyone by everyone creating and signing in and out of Quick Signup and getting noticed...
This is a direct quote from Cyberskunk:
Q) What is 'Rebug 3.41E'? A) An attempt to build a Debug/Retail PS3 firmware with the full features of both
Q) Does it need to be 'Jailbroken' A) Yes. It has it's own payload. But not to use the 'Debug Settings' menu. That is always available.
I have finally decided that 'Rebug 3.41E' is in good enough shape for a beta release so here it is.
At the moment it has all 'Retail PS3' features running except PSN. So installing 'Rebug 3.41E' will not break anything infact you can play...
