168w ago - Sega of America's Assistant Community Manager Aaron Webber has officially announced today that Yakuza 3 is finally hitting PS3 entertainment systems on Western shores.
To quote: The big day is finally here. As Yakuza 3 begins the journey to stores across the west, we take another look at what makes Yakuza 3 something you'll find only on the PS3.
"If there's one thing about Yakuza that these last few months have taught people," I thought as I sat at lunch on Monday, "It's that the fans are a force to take seriously... usually."
Fans can be the biggest allies and proponents of games that may not be the huge, multi-million sellers like (insert generic FPS here), or (insert additional generic FPS here).
They can create amazing successes for games that were never expected to have them - looking at you, Valkyria Chronicles - and they can just as easily do the opposite, in some cases.
But more than anything, most fans just want to be heard. Fans want interaction, and to be responded to. So let's begin this blog post by jumping right in to one of the biggest things fans have been asking about: the content.
Yakuza 3 is huge. Besides exploring Tokyo and Okinawa, you can also visit restaurants,...

Additionally, in the comments section he stated the following: "We stick with what we're good at and like to make. That doesn't mean that we'd never consider something else... except Mahjong -- a Zipper Mahjong game just isn't in the cards."
To quote: I wanted to drop in and deliver some truly exciting news - on behalf of everyone here at Zipper Interactive, I'm pleased to announce that SOCOM 4 is indeed in development and is slated for release exclusively on PlayStation 3 this fall.
Of course, as with any new announcement, what you really want to know are the details: Who's in your squad? Where have they been deployed? What kind of threat are they up against?
Though we'll be revealing the answers to all these questions and plenty more throughout 2010, we don't want to leave you completely in the dark, so what we will tell you is that a militant revolutionary has unexpectedly seized control in an important South Asian country.
As the Ops Com, your mission is to command an elite five-man squad charged with stopping his aggressive agenda before it's too...
169w ago - Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has confirmed today that Sony has purchased Media Molecule, creators of the beloved LittleBigPlanet, making them a wholly owned part of Sony Computer Entertainment and the latest member of the PlayStation family.
The decision was an easy one after meeting five young, talented people with a massive ambition to redefine video games as we know them, followed by a fantastic exclusive relationship that culminated in the launch of one of the most innovative PlayStation games of recent years.
Of course, LittleBigPlanet needs no introduction here, as it was thanks to you that it became a best selling PS3 title when it released in late 2008.
The acquisition will enhance the talent pool within SCE, protect past and current investment and ensure a solid base for future investment. Media Molecule have exciting projects in the pipeline and we're looking forward to sharing these with you in the not too distant future.
