Two years ago, we were asked to closely investigate possibilities of the PlayStation Move motion controller, which was still deep in its prototype phase.

Today, we are proud to present you with Datura, which uses the controller in a quite innovative way.

Finding yourself in a mysterious forest, you will navigate your way through the game by controlling your character's hand using Playstation Move technology.

From here, you are immersed into the game's unique experimental narrative and original way of interaction, which enables you to experience the world not only visually, but also empirically -- an illusion that you can actually touch trees, faces, and other objects.

While taking inspiration from film-like narratives, Datura is a story you get a chance to physically participate in. As you travel through the game, you will encounter choices and face your consequences. 76w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a hands-on video today showcasing Sorcery for PlayStation Move, which is slated to arrive on PS3 in Spring 2012.

To quote: One of the more memorable action games I've played this year is a game uses the PlayStation Move motion controller to paint a symphony of destruction.

Last seen at the E3 2010 PlayStation press conference, Sorcery captured the imaginations of PS3 owners while remaining tantalizingly out of reach. At last week's PlayStation media showcase in New York City, I was finally allowed to go hands-on with Sorcery and speak with its design director, Brian Upton, who stated that the game is on-track to release this spring.

Sorcery is running on a heavily modified version of the Unreal engine, and the art direction has progressed by leaps and bounds since its last showing.

To quote: With Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest launching tomorrow for PlayStation Move, Senior Producer Jeremy Ray highlights the game's weapon arsenal in a new dev diary.

The game team worked hard to build a game where the combat feels as intuitive as possible. Holding a PlayStation Move motion controller in front of you as a shield or swinging your sword feels natural for a player of almost any age, and the one-to-one precision goes a long way to keep you immersed in the experience.

That's paired with seamless, almost unnoticeable transition between your weapons: with the sword and shield at the ready in your hands, you can reach over your shoulder for your bow and arrow or grab those throwing stars from your belt.

The result is a game that rewards all ages and levels of gaming skill without the need for a ton of abstract button presses.
