NIS America PSP Game Title Changes from Badman to Lord

232w ago - Today European Product and Development Manager Allison Walter at NIS America has announced that PSP title "The Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman" will immediately be referred to as "What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?" due to an unintentional IP conflict.

To quote: I have a few bits of important news to announce!

The first is, Badman has decided to change his bad image, or at least his name. Let it be known: The Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman series will immediately be referred to as [Register or Login to view links] The original title had a conflict of interest with an existing IP and it was not [Register or Login to view links] intention to create any conflict.

This new title is intended to better represent the game's whacky retro dungeon world and connect the player's awareness with the overall theme of the game. Phil, give us a drumroll to introduce the new game cover...

Due to the name change the game, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman!: What did I do to deserve this? will be temporarily unavailable from the PlayStation Store. The game will return as soon as the new name process has been completed.

The second bit of news is that What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 will be released...

241w ago - See now, I might be a bit late posting this as the video has been up since the end of November.

It's only had 50,000 odd hits so far but I think we can do better - check it out and forward it on to everyone you know.

I live in the UK and this law sucks big time, giving WAY too much power to the big companies.

Cool tune too, saw this on the latest episode of TorrentFreakTV and just had to post about it.

Help keep the Internet free and prevent the UK govenment from imposing these stupid laws.

Square Enix Countdown Ends, Lord of Vermilion 2 Unveiled!

260w ago - Just over a week ago Square Enix launched a countdown for a new video game title, and it didn't take long for some of the artwork to leak out.

Since then, the teaser site was updated daily with new images acting as clues, and speculation led to Lord of Vermilion.

Today the countdown has ended, and as pictured below the game revealed on the [Register or Login to view links] is indeed a sequel dubbed Lord of Vermilion 2.

To quote: Now that the countdown is over, the title that was shrouded behind mystery has been revealed. Come this autumn, the sequel to Lord of Vermilion will make it's way on the scene.

Unfortunately, no platforms have been revealed, but wouldn't it make a great PlayStation Eye game? Post your thoughts below!
 

Square Enix Teaser Site Updated Again, for Lord of Vermillion?

260w ago - Today the Square Enix [Register or Login to view links] that was launched a few days ago has been updated again.

neo2046 of [Register or Login to view links] has deduced that it is apparently for Square Enix's arcade card game "Lord of Vermillion" or a related title... we'll know for certain on August 7th, 2009.

To quote: It appears Square Enix has yet again updated the countdown to their mystery game, which is set to be unveiled on August 7th in Japan.

In this latest update, images of a man and a dragon can be seen in the background. Thanks to the work of NeoGAF users, it appears this game has something to do with Square Enix's arcade game Lord of Vermillion, either being an new game or a port of the arcade version.

268w ago - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is the newest game from MercurySteam Entertainment and Konami, and everyone recieved a very pleasant surprise during the Konami Press Conference last Wednesday.

Hideo Kojima was onstage to present this title, for which he had teased millions of gamers with an ominous looking mask on his Web site.

Lords of Shadow is a collaborative effort between MercurySteam and Kojima Productions, for which Kojima is acting as the director.

And as you can see in press conference footage, his midas touch is ever so present in almost every aspect of the title.
