To quote: Hello, Ramone Russell here. I'm the Game Designer and Community Specialist on MLB The Show.

One of the most common pieces of feedback we get each year from our fans is that they'd like to play complete games faster.

That's why we're excited to bring two new options into MLB 14 that allow for you to experience The Show without having to make as big of a time commitment as in the past: Quick Counts and Player Lock.

Watch the video below for an in depth look.

Here are a few more details about the features that weren't covered in the video:

• Quick Counts and Player Lock are game options; they aren't mandatory.
• Quick Counts and Player Lock are available in all game modes except Road To The Show.
• Player lock will allow you to play a full game in as little as 10 minutes.
• With Quick Counts on, you will cut your game completion times in half if used in conjunction with the Fast Play presentation setting. Games can now be completed in as little as 30 minutes.

23w ago - Sony Community Manager Ramone Russell of San Diego Studios shared new information today on MLB 14 The Show including PS4 screens and PlayStation 4 release details below.

To quote: We know anticipation is high, especially given we're making our next-gen debut this season, and this week we were able to share a glimpse of what we've been working on for the past 10 months. Here's a look at some of the things we've got planned for MLB 14 The Show.

I've been asked what our goals are this year, and the answer is simple. Everyone on our team takes great pride in chasing our goal of producing the perfect sports game. It's what has made The Show the highest rated sports franchise over the last 8 years.

We've already covered some of what's new this year in our previous post here on the PlayStation.Blog. To recap: there are more than 50 new features and improvements that will enhance, deepen, streamline, and better your overall experience.

Quick Counts will cut game completion times in half. A new UI, built from the ground up for PS4 (but carried over across all versions) has been optimized for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.

25w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements announced that Lords of the Fallen on PS4 leads Bandai Namco's 2014 showcase.

To quote: Lords of the Fallen for PS4, What do fallen gods and iconic ninjas have in common? Bandai Namco, of course!

Earlier this week, the publisher held a showcase in San Francisco to exhibit its 2014 lineup. A diverse sampling of games made an appearance - some for the first time since their announcement.

Dark Souls II and Lords of the Fallen won special attention at the event, thanks to their striking art direction and uncompromising combat systems.

But there was much more than tales of dark fantasy to entertain and entice attendees. The latest in Naruto's long-running Ultimate Ninja Storm series was featured, along with a new side-scrolling platformer from developer Suda 51.

If you're craving a punishing challenge and twisted story, look no further than Sid's hands-on experience with Dark Souls II. And read on for the highlights from the rest of Bandai Namco's impressive showing.
