Coatsink Software Announces Shu Hits PS4, PS3, PS Vita in 2015

13w ago - Coatsink Software Creative Director Tom Beardsmore announced today that Shu is coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita in 2015 with details below.

To quote: I'm Tom Beardsmore, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Coatsink Software. Co-Founder Paul Crabb and I established Coatsink in late 2009.

Early on, our studio developed a few mobile titles including Pinch and Fatty as we continued to expand the size of our team. We're now a team of 12 developers and in recent years we have pushed forward and began to develop PC/console games, including our upcoming PlayStation title: Shu!

Shu is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer, where the player can harness the unique abilities of a group of unusual and adorable hand-drawn characters.

A deadly storm has forced villagers to seek refuge across the land, but many have become trapped. Your journey will take you across savannah and through forests, all the way to the very peak of a desolate mountain.

As you (Shu) climb your way to the top with the storm hot on your heels, you will happen across these stranded villagers. Take them by the hand (or beard) and guide them to safety while harnessing their unique abilities.

Keep an eye out for the sinister storm, because if it catches you, it'll snatch your companions away one...

13w ago - Double 11 Design Manager Gareth Wright announced that Frozen Synapse Prime hits PS Vita today alongside a new PlayStation Vita tips trailer video below.

To quote: Hi Folks, The support for [Register or Login to view links] has been awesome so far and we're excited to launch on the US PlayStation Store today!

We'd like to share a more in-depth look at the gameplay, focusing on some of the more advanced strategies and touch controls.

FSP has been designed in a way that anyone can become a competitive or advanced player, with a ton of depth under the surface. The only limits are your own creativity and deviousness.

FSP isn't about luck in regards to who will win in a firefight, it's totally down to you and your tactics. If a unit on your squad gets shot you'll know why, and how to adapt next time. But when you take out an enemy, you know that you were able to outwit them.

KEYS TO VICTORY

Aside for the commands and moves, victory is just as much about the mind-games between two players, and FSP inspires you to anticipate and deceive your opponent.

Video: Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Hits PS Vita on October 14th

50°
13w ago - Sony Social Media Production Assistant Kelly Nylander made available a PlayStation Vita video trailer today announcing that Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus hits PS Vita on October 14th, 2014.

To quote: Have you ever dreamed of your perfect game? Does it include a huge cast of lovably quirky shinobi girls whose fighting skills allow them to mow down armies of opponents?

Can they unleash special attacks that crush their foes with giant pancakes? Do they hide the armories of entire militaries beneath their clothes?

Is their entire epic saga of good versus evil set to the tune of a heart-pumping metal soundtrack? Well, we have heard your wishes, you people of frighteningly-specific desires!

A follow-up to Senran Kagura Burst, Shinovi Versus on PS Vita kicks the series up a dimensional notch. Beefing up the formerly side-scrolling beat-em-up into a full-fledged 3D experience, there are now plenty of expansive environments for you to traverse - dashing, slashing, and smashing every enemy along the way.

Bringing back the fast-paced, combo-heavy combat from the first game, Shinovi Versus makes use of all that extra space by packing it with even more adversaries and high-flying boss battles.
