257w ago - Zen Studios Managing Director Zsolt Kigyossy has announced today that Planet Minigolf will be coming to PS3 exclusively on Sony's PlayStation Network.

To quote: Grab your clubs and get ready to tee off! I am thrilled to announce that ZEN Studios is applying the same battle-tested ball physics engine from the acclaimed ZEN Pinball to bring you the PlayStation Network exclusive Planet Minigolf.

What does that mean for you? Expect an exciting new standard in golf action combining stunning 3D graphics and smart play with true-to-life physics, including precisely calculated ball dynamics.

Aspiring to be the best all-around golf experience, we've built in a deep single-player campaign that transports players to several exhilarating courses around the world and comes loaded with six customizable characters, remarkable cartoon-style visuals and a daunting 144 unique holes packed with a variety of hazards and interactive objects.

In addition to the single player campaign, we have also included a full suite of multiplayer options - from a local hotseat mode to regular weekly tournaments and worldwide competitions where players can battle it out to see whose nation reigns supreme.

That's all for now, but we'll have more exciting news hitting over the next couple...

NIS Announces Last Rebellion Exclusively for PlayStation 3

50°
280w ago - It appears Trinity Universe isn't the only RPG on the way from Nippon Ichi Software.

NIS America also revealed at their press event that the long-rumored RPG, Last Rebellion, will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3.

The game is in development at Hitmaker, the same guys behind the Crazy Taxi games.

Players can roam around the world field and make action movements like in an action game, but once you enter battle, you engage the enemy using a turn-based system. The game features the ability to target different body parts on an enemy to weaken that area (such as hitting their legs to slow them down).

The game revolves around the characters Nine and Aisha. Nine is a Blade, whose specialty is physical attacks, and Aisha is a Sealer, who uses magic spells to attack & seal enemies. Players will be able to switch between the two in battle, strategically choosing which attacks to unleash first.

Last Rebellion is due to release in Fall 2009.

PowerMad Review of Killzone 2 Exclusively for the PlayStation 3

400°
289w ago - Now that I don't have a 13-minute limit of a video I can fully explain how great Killzone 2 is. The graphics to Killzone 2 are amazing to say the very least.

Graphics/Environment/Audio

Right away you are dropped off at a area that has some of the best water physics and visuals I have ever personally seen.

This is coming from a man who has played Crysis on a full 1080P monitor with the graphics all the way up. As well as Metal Gear Solid 4 in the same way.

You can search high and low but will never find a game at this current time that looks better than Killzone 2.

The textures and environment just set the mood. You will almost never get bored of just walking around looking at the world around you.

The physics are near perfect. The way the Helghast look as you shoot them with your assault rifle is perfect they move just the way you would expect them to.

There was also a lot of care put into the audio of this game. What more can you say? If it sounds like a explosion when it's a explosion it's good.

So full Circle this game will make all your senses happy. From the great visuals,...

EA Announces Boom Blox Bash Party Exclusively for Nintendo Wii

50°
294w ago - Electronic Arts has confirmed plans for a sequel to the critically acclaimed Wii exclusive Boom Blox, which will again be created with input from movie director and producer Steven Spielberg.

Though the publisher says the original release's sales met expectations, analysts were disappointed with the title's performance, and a sequel had been in some doubt.

Rumors, however, emerged of a follow-up last November. The original game was created by EA Los Angeles, as a result of work initiated by the secretive, now-defunct Blueprint division.

Originally intended as the first of three games created with input from Steven Spielberg, the status of the other unannounced titles is unclear. The new game will be developed by EA Casual Studios and is due for release in North America and Europe in spring 2009.

The sequel is called Boom Blox Bash Party, and will focus on multiplayer features, as well as include 400 new levels. As before, the key mechanics of the game are inspired by party game favorite Jenga, as players manipulate and knock down bricks using a realistic physics engine.

The game will also feature downloadable content, including the ability to create and share levels between users. It is also implied that users will be able to play and compete in levels online.
