Sony Confirms Beats Slider is Free This Week on PlayStation Mobile

50°
87w ago - Sony Director of Emerging Platforms Chris Mahoney has confirmed that Beats Slider is free this week on PlayStation Mobile.

Below are the details, as follows: Last week saw the launch of a PlayStation Mobile promotion that will offer six free games over six weeks, starting with Samurai Beatdown.

This week, the free PlayStation Mobile game is Beats Slider. Master the puzzle gameplay by sliding different note blocks into sequences to create catchy electro tunes and compete for the best times online!

Recently, we invited FuturLab's Managing Director James Marsden to explain the ins and outs of the game on PlayStation.Blog. Here's what separates Beats Slider from its contemporaries:

Each block of the sliding puzzle represents MIDI data, which is basically musical notation that computers can read. MIDI data can be used to play back any instrument, synthesizer, drum loop or whatever you throw at it, just by changing the instruments or samples that are triggered by it.

So what we've done is allow the player to push a drum loop MIDI pattern into a synthesizer slot, or a melody pattern into a bass line track, and every combination you could think...

87w ago - Wired Productions Product Manager Sean Walsh has confirmed today that PlayStation Vita reels in Let's Fish Hooked On this January 29th.

To quote: Anticipation is a great thing, and through design or necessity, we've kept you all on tenterhooks regarding the release date of the PS Vita's first full-scale fishing game.

And so it is with a great sense of relief, and excitement, that we are finally able to announce today that Let's Fish! Hooked On will be making a splash on PSN, for PS Vita, on February 5th January 29th.

The game, which has been developed by the team behind SEGA Bass Fishing and Ape Escape (PSP), is split into four different game modes, World Tour, with its character-driven story line; Challenge, for quick short-bursts of fishing action; Training, to help develop your skills; and Underwater Mode, which lets...

Below are the details, to quote: Hi again, this is Sports Champions 2 Senior Producer, Jeremy Ray, and I'm super excited to finally let everyone know when Sports Champions 2 will be available here in the US - October 30th!

Since we're getting close, I've got a small update on the game for you.

We're giving the game one final coat of polish and squashing bugs right now, and I'm proud to say that we've surpassed many of our lofty internal goals. We can't wait until it's in your hands.

One example: the Avatar Creator feature has turned out so much better than we envisioned it. In fact, we are already starting to think about post-release support to make this feature even better - hopefully I'll be able to announce something on that after launch.

The creativity we've seen with the QA team on the avatar creator has been inspiring, and we're incredibly excited to see how much further the fans take it.

We are also getting a ton of great feedback on Skiing, Boxing, Tennis, Golf, Bowling, and the new Archery. Just...

Hey there everybody. Back in 2008 the team here at Codemasters released Race Driver: GRID, which set new standards for damage, AI and visuals, and introduced the Flashback rewind feature. All our hard work was recognised the following year when the game went on to win a BAFTA award.
