To quote: Gamescom 2011 is a hazy memory now that I'm back at my London desk, watching raindrops fall down the window and imagining they're racing each other, but that doesn't mean our coverage is over.

I still have a few interviews to bring you, starting with Anthony Burch, writer on the recently announced Borderlands 2.

New Borderlands DLC Announced - Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot

241w ago - Yesterday the first Borderlands DLC dubbed Zombie Island was released for the PC, which was a couple weeks after it hit consoles.

Today, 2K Games and Gearbox announced the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 RPG shooter Borderlands will be getting a second piece of downloadable content in the next few weeks.

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is set to arrive on December 29th for the Xbox 360 and on January 7th for the PS3.

Underdome Riot ($10 or 800 MS Points) adds three new "Riot Mode" arenas. You (and up to three friends via co-op) will fight off waves of enemies in exchange for some sweet new loot and a couple extra skill points. The DLC also adds a much-needed feature to the game: a bank for storing your extra equipment.

No release date was provided for the PC version of Riot, but rest assured the content will appear on that platform as well.
 

Borderlands The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned DLC is Now Available

Today 2K Games has announced that The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned DLC for Borderlands is now available for Sony's PS3 and Microsoft's XBox 360 console.

246w ago - Following news of their recent patch update, 2K Games and Gearbox are proud to announce The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC for Borderlands.

As the first in a series of downloadable content, it will be available for download for Xbox 360 and PS3 starting on November 24, 2009 for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99).

To quote: Thought you've seen it all? Well get ready to square off against ferocious brain-eating zombies, carnivorous Were-Skags and more as you continue your pursuit for all of that sweet, sweet loot.

You'll need a copy of the original Borderlands game in order to experience this downloadable content.

You'll definitely want to be able to experience The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned when it comes out on November 24, 2009.
 

Borderlands Patch v1.20 Update Hits PS3, XBox 360 and PC

247w ago - Gearbox Software has released a Borderlands patch v1.20 update today for the PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC.

The patch is 53MB in size and includes many fixes, as detailed below from ennui on their official boards (linked above):

Solved Issues - these issues should no longer occur

Issue: PSN friends list not functioning properly
Status: Fixed!
Verified Solution: As of 10/20/09, an update with a hot fix for this issue has been applied already on the back-end, user doesn't have to do anything for this to function properly now - just play the game!
Update: We have received some information that this is not working for all players and is still affecting a small subset. We are attempting to find the source of the continuing problem for these users

Issue: PSN server browser takes a long time to populate server list
Status: Fixed!
Verified Solution: As of 10/22/09, an update with a hot fix for this issue has been applied already on the back-end, user doesn't have to do anything for this to function properly now - just play the game!

Issue: PC locking up when accessing server browser
Status: Fixed!
Solution: A hotfix for this issue has been discovered and is being applied. This hotfix is invisible - users don't...
