206w ago - Today VidZone's Head of Production Ben Creasey has extended a warm THANKS to Sony PS3 fans for making the VidZone service the biggest dedicated music video streaming application in the world.
To quote: VidZone is officially the biggest dedicated music video streaming application in the world!! With over 2,000,000 application downloads and 200,000,000 videos streamed so far!!
I think the correct response is "WOW!" (Or other less broadcast-able superlatives)
Because of you, all of us at VidZone enjoy coming to work every day safe in the knowledge that what we are doing is actually being enjoyed by people all around the world (I know it's not available everywhere, but you know we are working on it... Feel free to "WHEN POLAND!!" if you feel the need). Because of this, everyone here would like to say thanks in their own personal way. Please forgive the shocking attempts at humor:
Louisa Jackson - VidZone for PS3 Chief - "Thanks for all the great feedback in 2009. Lots of surprises in stall 2010!

208w ago - Today Kellee Santiago, President and co-founder of ThatGameCompany, has made a post-VGA announcement on Flower winning the VGAs Best Independent PS3 Game award.
To quote: This last weekend was... whoa, just totally surreal. Jenova, composer Vincent Diamante, and I met up at the event, where we got together with fellow indie nominees, Hemisphere Games (Osmos) and Twisted Pixel ('Splosion Man) so that we could brave the great unknown of the red carpet together.
Which turned out to be a good thing because it was pretty hectic and intense there. Did you know going down a red carpet can take an hour?!? I don't know how seasoned veterans like David Jaffe can do it!
These Mt. Dew-themed drinks helped us get through the pre-show schmooze-fest, though. It was great to be surrounded by almost all of the other Best Indie Game nominees - I definitely felt more grounded. I mean, how do you handle waiting in line for the port-o-potty and encountering Samuel L. Jackson?
And then there were the REAL celebrities - Rocksteady,...
223w ago - Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has announced today that Uncharted 2 for PS3 was dubbed GamesCom's best console game.
To quote: Just last week, one of our Senior Character Artists, Hanno, and I hopped on a plane to head over to Cologne, Germany, to work at Europe's biggest videogames show, Gamescom. It turns out that we absolutely had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
This was the first European show for Hanno and myself, as we had never been to the Leipzig Games Convention in the previous years. We weren't prepared at all on how huge gamescom was - not only in importance, but in sheer physical size.
There were four different halls at the Koelnmesse where games were being shown and EACH hall was about the same size of an airplane hangar. The PlayStation booth was probably one of the biggest booths we've ever seen and was split into four main sections representing racing games, family games, social entertainment and an 18+ area.
We were looking forward to going to Germany since we were hand-carrying over something really special with us - a fresh set of Blu-ray disks that would allow anyone at gamescom to have the first hands-on gameplay ever with the single player campaign of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves!
