50°
85w ago - Sony Community Manager James Spafford has posted up a fresh Tearaway: Welcome to Sogport PS Vita trailer video today with details below.

To quote: It's been a little while since we updated you on our progress making Tearaway, but that all changes today!

We recently showed some new parts of the game to members of the gaming press, and their previews and coverage of that should start appearing today across the Web. We introduced them to an area of the game we've been working on for quite some time, and today we'd like you to see it too!

Just one of the stops you'll make as you go on your delivery adventure in the world of Tearaway is Sogport, a mysterious island marooned in a deep sea of glue, and inhabited by some very fishy folk with a fearful obsession with the island's monstrous local wildlife. See for yourself...

Last August we introduced you to iota, and today we're really excited to introduce atoi (pronounced like the French phrase a'toi - "ah-twa" )

When you start your adventure, you'll be able to customize the game to your liking, choosing which messenger will accompany you on your journey, either iota or atoi, and also on the shape, size and color of your...

Videos: Sony Interviews Media Molecule, Talks of Tearaway!

108w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton has shared some video interview footage today spotlighting Tearaway by Media Molecule below.

To quote: One of the big highlights of [Register or Login to view links] last week was [Register or Login to view links]'s return to the spotlight with Vita adventure Tearaway - the UK studio's first title since LittleBigPlanet 2.

Predictably, it's a riot of colour, creativity and wild invention, telling the story of iota - a plucky young hero on a mission to deliver a unique message to you, the player.

You'll help him on his way by interacting with his environment via the Vita's touch screen and rear touch panel. It looks like an absolute delight to play, leveraging all the Vita's features to offer up a unique, exciting gameplay experience.

The morning after they revealed the game on stage during the Sony press conference, Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans and "design lead/chief doodler" Rex Crowle kindly sat down with me for a quick chat about the ideas driving the game, as well as a few words on the [Register or Login to view links] series.

Take a look at the video below, and then, for good measure, treat yourself to one...

Video: Media Molecule's New Project Revealed: Tearaway for PS Vita

50°
109w ago - Media Molecule Studio Director Siobhan Reddy has officially revealed their new project today, dubbed Tearaway for Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld console!

To quote: Tearaway is kind of like a buddy movie. It stars iota, a messenger from a paper dimension, whose envelope head contains an urgent message to deliver... to you!

It's a very special message, and one that's unique for each and every player. In order to read yours, you'll need to take up the role of co-star and, together with iota, journey through the vibrant papery landscape – two buddies going on an epic adventure.

You and iota will travel afar, taking on enemies and helping those in need. You'll conquer adversity and discover magical papery surprises. But in Tearaway, you're holding more than just a PS Vita in your hands - you're holding the paper world itself!

Using the god-like powers inherent to someone who can hold an entire world in their giant hands, you can make your presence felt using a wide range of godly powers that take advantage of all the PS Vita's bells and whistles – some subtle and some epic.

You can shake things up or turn them upside down. A gentle breath from you is a gusty storm. You can even poke your fingers into the back of the PS Vita to tear through into the world...

To quote: Last weekend, we held our first [Register or Login to view links] to celebrate one year since the release of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves, and I think we'd be understating things to say it was anything but a rousing success!

All of us at Naughty Dog wanted to thank everyone ([Register or Login to view links]) who went online to participate in our Anniversary Event - getting the [Register or Login to view links], along with mega-cash, in return - and made it such a special day for the Dogs to spend with our fan community.

We pulled a few amazing stats from the Anniversary Event we thought you'd like to know:

• Those 2.5 years came from 1,079,850 player games (10 players in a game = 10 player games)
• We also saw 12,376,755 kills during...
