Atlus Introduces a Super-Mega-Ultra 50% Off PSN Sale Tomorrow

50°
191w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has introduced a super-mega-ultra 50% off PSN sale which begins tomorrow.

To quote: "What if we can spoil our fans for the holidays by cutting something in half?"

This question, self-posed, is what put everything in motion. From there, it was basically a lot of late nights, major damage to office furniture, a couple of trips to the emergency room, and a few really beautifully sliced watermelons.

Finally, we realized it had been under our noses the whole time: why not cut our games in half? Sadly, after destroying the last couple [Register or Login to view links] in the office, we realized the BEST option was to cut PRICES in half, hence this sale, which we're calling, in full caps for maximum attention-grabbage, the SUPER-MEGA-ULTRA 50% off PlayStation Network sale*.

The sale starts tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16th and ends on November 29th. Supplies aren't limited, because hey, it's digital, and the sale applies to the North American PlayStation Store. You will be able to use your PS3 or PSP to view the full list of discounted titles, or you can peep the list below:

191w ago - Today Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has shared a fresh video trailer and announced that Knights in the Nightmare for PSP is now on sale.

To quote: I'm a super fun and newly available (in stores and on PSN) game seeking that special person to take me home and get me going.

To be clear, I'm not a casual game; I'm the real deal, a true hardcore experience, and I'm looking for a serious gamer who can commit to a mix of action, strategy, and roleplaying to delve into my campaign and unlock my secrets.

My name is [Register or Login to view links], and I'm available now on the PSP.

I vary between 2" tall and total non-corporality. I love long walks along the lakeside; fast-paced, action-packed bullet hell shooter gameplay mixed with tactical RPG goodness; and dark chocolate.

I think I have a lot to offer a prospective player: over 40 missions spanning an emotionally charged narrative fraught with loss, hope, and retribution, not to mention a thrilling mix of fast-paced action and strategic roleplaying, beautiful visuals and sounds, and much more.

I'm looking for someone who can handle my uniquely involved, satisfyingly challenging mechanics. He/she must be open to a...

Video: Atlus Unveils Persona 3 Portable Full Trailer for PSP

50°
216w ago - Today Atlus' Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has unveiled the full Persona 3 Portable trailer video for Sony's PSP.

To quote: I come bearing gifts, and by "gifts" I of course mean the official full trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable, [Register or Login to view links] upcoming handheld RPG epic.

What's it full of? Why, WIN, of course, and lots of it! What other portable roleplaying game gives you dozens upon dozens upon dozens of hours of satisfying combat, character interaction, side-quests, and a riveting story?

Moreover, few handheld RPGs, if any, deliver the aural and visual impact of Persona 3 Portable, with its stunning world and character design, and a soundtrack courtesy of master composer [Register or Login to view links].

For those of you who've never been properly exposed to Persona 3, allow me to pull back its long black trench coat to reveal a bit more about the concept of the Dark Hour. In the world of Persona 3 Portable, there is a hidden hour between the end of one day and the start of another.

It is imperceptible to most, save a select few. You're one of this gifted minority (of course you are) and in fact,...

50°
219w ago - Today Atlus' Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has revealed a bonus for those who are planning to pre-order Persona 3 Portable for Sony's PSP console.

To quote: We would like to bring to your attention the below [Register or Login to view links] bonus for Persona 3 Portable (only at participating retailers, only while supplies last)

"What is it?" you ask? Why, it's a lovely collectible (and wearable, fortunately) cap modeled after the one worn by popular character Junpei Iori, Gekkoukan High School's bantering, jabbering class clown.

Not familiar with him? Or the game, perhaps? That's where this post comes in.

SMT: Persona 3 Portable is the handheld version of one of the [Register or Login to view links]. "What's so special about it?" you ask as you click around multiple tabs in your web browser.

Persona 3's unique dichotomy of social sim and dungeon crawling elements shakes the genre to its core, offering a constantly refreshing blend of character development, sharp writing, a powerful narrative, and ultra fast-paced turn-based combat in the many varying levels of Tartarus.

In an interesting twist, the bonds you share with your...

Video: Atlus Releases 3D Dot Game Heroes Official PS3 Trailer

100°
224w ago - Atlus' Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has released the official 3D Dot Game Heroes PS3 trailer today!

To quote: 3D Dot Game Heroes, the PlayStation 3 exclusive that promises to inject retro-saccharin goodness directly into your corneas (those are part of your eyes, whippersnappers), has a full video trailer... And here it is!

So why should you be excited? Aside from the retro 3D visuals, ear-gratifying musical score, and extremely addicting, nostalgic action-adventure gameplay, you mean? Well... BECAUSE IT HAS TRAILER MUSIC!

Did you hear it? Like, the part with the chorus singing in the background? Who cares if the game is awesome (it is, by the way) when you have trailer music with voices chanting in the background!?

Oh, and to address a couple comments that have been popping up in posts relating to 3D Dot Game Heroes:

The huge swords evident in some screens/videos do NOT break the game. It is not a design flaw. You're only that big when you're at FULL health (intuitive, right?), and you'll rarely be at full health for long stretches of time.

Moreover, only near the end of the game will you have a sword THAT large, not to mention one with the ability to penetrate geometry...
