50°
307w ago - Per Kevin Furuichi (Executive Producer, PlayStation Network) via the PlayStation Blog today:

Hey everyone, my name is Kevin Furuichi and I'm the new Executive Producer here at the PlayStation Network.

The Qore team's put together a spook-tacular, monster-themed Halloween Special for Episode 05 available in the PlayStation Store on Thursday, October 9, here's a preview:

Fallout 3
Nuclear winter in Washington, D.C. and mutated humans and beasts are really not so happy about the way things turned out. Do you dare leave the bunker and confront their radiation-amplified personality issues?

Resident Evil 5
The series that invented the term "Survival Horror" is back and better than ever on PlayStation 3 - just don't call them "zombies" - they HATE that!

Dead Space
Talk about creepy. Our "trio of terror" is complete with a game that's banned in China, Germany, Japan. When you see the gameplay, words really fail to describe... well, actually, how about "Strategic Dismemberment." Also included is an exclusive graphic novel!

Shaun White Snowboarding
Well, it's not exactly spooky, but Olympic Champion Shaun White is a monster on any mountain. Veronica meets...

BioShock on PSN, Full Version Scheduled for October 21, 2008

100°
308w ago - No longer will PS3 gamers have to wait for Bioshock, the game that sent Xbox 360 sales into orbit last year. The Bioshock demo for PlayStation 3 is now available for download on the PlayStation Network, as expected earlier this week.

The full version of the game is scheduled for release in retail stores and online October 21, that's only 17 days away!

Bioshock for PS3 has supposedly been improved from the Xbox 360 version, although according to 2k senior producer Melissa Miller not on the graphics level. Some additions include a new "Survivor" mode where enemies are more difficult to defeat, PS3 Trophy support, and new plasmid powers.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with BioShock, it was designed by Ken Levine of 2K Games and released for XBox 360 and PC in August '07.

The game is set in 1960 and follows plane crash survivor Jack who explores the underwater world of Rapture. There he must face attacks by mutants and mechanical drones.

Press Release: PSYONIX STUDIOS ANNOUNCES THAT SUPERSONIC ACROBATIC ROCKET-POWERED BATTLE-CARS HAS GONE GOLD

Vehicular Arena-based Sports Game Slams Its Way onto the PlayStationŽNetwork October 9

El Segundo, Calif. - October 3, 2008 - Psyonix Studios announced today that Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars has gone gold and will be released on October 9 for the PlayStationŽNetwork on the PLAYSTATIONŽ3 computer entertainment system.

SARPBC features unique rocket-powered cars with incredible physics-based maneuverability, including the ability to rocket into the air or accelerate at supersonic speeds on the ground by racing over boost strips, obtaining boost capsules or by performing a rapid succession of acrobatic flips. While in the air, cars can roll, flip, jump, dodge or spin in a freestyle fashion.

In the BattleBall Arena team-based soccer game, players maneuver their vehicles and line them up to perform breathtaking saves, awe-inspiring shots and of course achieve supersonic speeds that literally turn your opponents into scrap metal. These...

Puzzle Quest Plus Expansion for PlayStation 3 Coming to PSN

50°
308w ago - D3Publisher has announced plans to offer a downloadable PS3 version of Puzzle Quest.

The game will come bundled with the Plague Lord expansion this winter. No price has been mentioned, although we'd guess at around 10 pounds it feels right.

There's little more we can say about Puzzle Quest other than "buy it"; the game has appeared on just about every other system since the DS and PSP originals caused a riot in 2007.

Puzzle Quest is a blend of Bejeweled and an RPG; there's a fantasy tale to unravel, but monsters and baddies met along the way must be defeated in head-to-head puzzles. Those battles are spiced up with the arrival of abilities and spells as players progress.
