Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Hitting PSN

500°
286w ago - Update: Although not definitive, [Register or Login to view links] reports that Capcom's Chris Kramer stated the games will be out "within the next three months."

A few months ago it was first reported that Capcom classics were making their way to Sony's PlayStation Network.

Today the green flag was given to three more, specifically, the [Register or Login to view links] has now rated Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for the PS3.

However, no release dates have been given at this time.

To quote: "The ESRB site doesn't have the search fields in the URL so we can't give you links to the ratings for the games, but search for them and you'll see the newly added 'PlayStation 3' platform under each one.

No dates yet, of course, but presumably we'll see these on our Store sooner rather than later."

286w ago - Today a Best Buy [Register or Login to view links] for PlayStation Network Cards appears to reveal that $10 PSN Cards are coming soon to PlayStation 3 and PSP owners.

No word yet on whether they will also hit Europe, however, US buyers can currently add them to their carts for $10 each.

Currently only $20 and $50 PSN cards are readily available for purchase, but soon enough the $10 cards will make their way to store shelves, while giving everyone a more affordable choice to reward or gift that gamer in your life.

Savage Moon PS3 Update and Expansion is Now Available on PSN

100°
286w ago - Fluffy Logic's Producer Ana Kronschnabl has announced news that a Savage Moon PS3 update and expansion is now available on PSN.

To quote: We wanted to say a big thanks to those of you who have taken the trouble to email us with feedback, ideas and suggestions.

Where possible we have incorporated some of your ideas into the new update of the game, now available. Amongst other things, the update includes:

•Re-balancing of the stats, including an upgraded Amp Tower with stats more similar to the first release of the game. Other tweaks to the stats make level 4 a bit more forgiving.
•A new 'Training Mode' that allows all the levels to be played as before, but the overall gameplay is a bit easier (but you can't save these scores to the high-score table).
•We have added custom soundtrack support, so you can blast Insectocytes to the tunes of your choice.

We would also like to tell you a bit more about the new expansion for Savage Moon - Waldgeist. If you are wondering, the name is German and translates as '[Register or Login to view links]' and in pagan times Waldgeists (is that the plural?) were believed to be the custodians of the forest. As the new levels in...

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona PSP Retail & PSN Launch Sept 22

50°
287w ago - Today Atlus' Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has announced that Shin Megami Tensei: Persona PSP will be launching simultaneously via retail and PSN on September 22, 2009.

To quote: When the game releases on September 22nd, it will launch simultaneously at retail and via the PlayStation Network, meaning that folks who decide to pick up a PSPgo in October and/or people who prefer to own the game digitally can have their JRPG fix their way.

Exclusive to the UMD-version of the game is the inclusion of the game's full 2-CD soundtrack, courtesy of acclaimed composer Shoji Meguro, at no additional cost to you. The two discs are bundled along with the game in a charming oversized outer box.

This offer is limited to retail launch copies, so as long as you pre-order or snag a copy early you're guaranteed to have some awesome music to listen to when you're not playing the game. Consider it our way of saying thanks to our customers and retail partners for years of support.

Just in case some of you have never heard of [Register or Login to view links] or Persona, here's a lovely little description of the game ripped straight from our press release (yes, that's right, I just copied and pasted):

"Lauded for its mature and philosophical narrative,...

Video: PlayStation Eye Chat - Critter Crunch for PSN

50°
287w ago - Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared a PlayStation Eye Chat video today on Critter Crunch for PSN.

To quote: When you last saw Critter Crunch, it was probably at E3 when Capybara's Nathan Vella walked us through the game's basics on the show floor.

Well Nathan is back, along with fellow Capy compadre Kris Piotrowski, to talk much more in-depth about Critter Crunch. Specifically, the duo describes the puzzle game's versus/co-op modes and their power-ups, how the foodchain mechanic works and the robust single-player adventure more. Plus, there's nice chunk of in-game footage included in the video.

And yes, there's plenty more barf, too. Strategic, rainbow-colored barf, if you will.
