Video: Critter Crunch Hits PS3 via PSN on October 8 for $6.99

50°
273w ago - Capy's Creative Director Kris Piotrowski has priced and dated Critter Crunch today, which is heading to PSN on October 8, 2009 for $6.99.

To quote: Kris from [Register or Login to view links] here, signing in just to drop a quick little announcement bomb on all y'all brains:

Just in case you didn't actually watch on the video above, here's what you missed:

CRITTER CRUNCH IS COMING TO A NORTH AMERICAN PLAYSTATION 3 NEAR YOU ON OCTOBER 8TH, AKA "THE DAY OF THE CRUNCH" AKA "CRITTER HOUR" AKA "BIGGS' BIG BBQ BASH."

And it's $6.99. SIX DOLLARS AND NINETY-NINE CENTS.

Why? Because we love you, and because we care. And it let us do that animated switcharoo-thing with the "9″ transforming into the "6″ after Biggs peels the price, which we think worked out really well.

Anyway, let me break it down for you in equation form:

(Biggs + Smalls + Critter Crunch) x (October 8th (You - 6.99)) = AWESOME FUN PUZZLE PARTY.

Stay tuned for lots more info on the PlayStation Blog and on www.crittercrunch.com as we approach October 8th.

Among other things, the document states a March 2010 release for Sony's new Motion Controller in Japan with the ambition of selling 4-5 million units world-wide. No Prices or Bundles are mentioned though, yet.

Furthermore, and for many of you maybe even more interesting, the document states that Sony wants to introduce a PS2 emulator for the PS3, allowing them to sell DreamCast games and "all PS2 titles on PSN".

Unfortunately it doesn't mention any further details or the possibility to play PS2 game discs.

To quote: We've contacted Sony and Sega for comment and have reprinted the document in question in its entirety below:

100°
273w ago - Today Pelfast President John Bates has shared a Comet Crash defense gameplay video, and he announced that a Comet Crash free update will be coming soon to PSN for the PlayStation 3.

To quote: This is John Bates and Jennifer Pourchot from Pelfast. Pelfast is a small indie startup located in sunny California.

Our highly acclaimed debut title, Comet Crash for PS3 has turned the tower defense genre on its head with completely new and exciting gameplay. We've been busy again with a free update that will add a few new features described at the end of the post. For those unfamiliar with Comet Crash, here's a quick run down.

Tower defense fans appreciate the simple yet addictive experience of building towers to defend from enemy waves. On the other hand, we at Pelfast love the thrill of a massive offensive rush to demolish an enemy base. We designed Comet Crash with both of these elements in mind. Finally, you can send massive swarms of your own troops to wreak havoc on the relentless waves of enemies. Ahhh... sweet revenge!

In Comet Crash, your first priority is to defend your territory from an assortment of enemy invaders. For those of you new to tower defense gameplay, this involves strategically placing various weapon towers...
