Comet Crash Hits PSN Tomorrow for PlayStation 3 Users

286w ago - Pelfast President John Bates has announced that Comet Crash is hitting Sony's PlayStation Network tomorrow. To quote:

The inspiration for [Register or Login to view links] comes from traditional tower defense games, but we think it's time for some exciting twists.

Generally in tower defense games, you build up weapons to protect your base from oncoming rushes of enemies. Killing enemy swarms is a lot of fun, but isn't it time to take out the nest? In Comet Crash, you use a variety of weapons to defend against enemy rushes, and you get the chance to fight back. The real objective is to rush the enemy base with your own offensive army!

In the Campaign, your goal is to take control of four different comets that alien forces have sent to wreak havoc on your home planet. To save your planet, you'll have to capture and secure each comet.

The alien civilization has advanced technologies that you gain access to as you defeat them. The Campaign supports up to 3 players for offline co-op play and offers three difficulty levels: Beginner, Casual, and Ranked. Between collecting resources, building up armies, defending your base, and determining your winning strategy, there is never a dull moment!

GDC '09: Sony Offers Huge Incentive for PSN Exclusivity

50°
286w ago - Remember that biased and irrational media blowup concerning the PSN bandwidth fee? Yeah, well, who thinks publishers won't want to put their games on the PSN now?

As reported by [Register or Login to view links], Sony will match the development budget of a self-published video game if that title remains exclusive to the PlayStation Network.

The first game to take advantage of the deal is the recently released Burn Zombie Burn!, and Sony says they're "looking for a great many more titles," so pay attention, self-publishers! Chris Eden, Sony development relations manager, says they're ready to put their money where their mouth is:

"It's all very well for us as platform holders to say 'put all your money into PlayStation Network, it's a fantastic idea', but are we prepared to put or money where our mouth is? The answer is yes. We're looking for a number of great games, and in return for exclusivity we'll match your development budget with guaranteed royalties."

This deal is called the "Pub Fund" and just to be clear, Sony is not purchasing exclusive rights for the games in question (a practice Microsoft...

Sony's PSN Home is Still Plagued with a 'Go Anywhere' Bug

100°
287w ago - Probably most of you noticed something strange in PlayStation Home Square last time you connected to HOME.

In the image 6 people are walking on thin air or in places they are not supposed to be... This is even advertised inside HOME!

I won't say here how is it done but it is very - very annoying! Imagine playing Chess and someone walks over the table and places a bubble machine that obstructs both your views!

Now it's even possible to report people for "DISRUPTING GAMES"... I would prefer fixing the bug instead of the possibility to report people who do that, but hey.. it's not up to us to choose the right way to fix things!

PSN Version of Warhawk No Longer Locked to Purchased Account

400°
287w ago - Just logged in today with one of my alt accounts and it is no longer locked to the account that originally purchased it.

This ticked me off so much when I originally bought it from the PlayStation Store that I never bought a PSN version of any game due to not wanting to get burnt again by Sony.

Why would I buy a game if my whole family can't play it on there own accounts?

I'm sure the original account must be present on the console your playing on but I can't confirm this because my wife is playing on her account at the moment. lol

Well thumbs up to Sony for finally getting rid of this stupid restriction.

Regards,
Krack3n
