Sony Launches Digital Comics for PSP on PSN Today

100°
253w ago - PlayStation Store Senior Manager Grace Chen announced that today Sony has officially launched Digital Comics for PSP on PSN.

To quote: PlayStation Network launched a new digital comics service for the PSP system today. As you already know, PSP firmware update v6.20 included a Digital Comics reader application that is accessible under the Extras icon on the XMB.

Starting today, you can access hundreds of digital comics on PlayStation Store, directly on the PSP or via MediaGo (on the PC). You will notice a new "tab" for comics, next to the game and video tabs. The digital comics store is currently available in the U.S. only.

PLEASE NOTE: Download the Digital Comics Reader application in order to view the comics. You can download the reader via Wi-Fi, directly on the PSP, by going to the Digital Comics reader icon and following the on-screen instructions.

In the store, you'll want to check out the "free comics" category, for a selection of comics that you can download for free. You'll also find a great variety of titles from our partners at [Register or Login to view links], [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] and more. See the launch list below.

254w ago - Today Boolat Games PR Manager Natalia Gorbanskaya has announced that a new upcoming episode in the Topatoi Saga dubbed Topatoi: The Pillar of Skies is hitting PSN, with a video as follows:

First of all, we are happy to inform you that we have taken your comments into consideration and now, the Topatoi demo is available on the PlayStation Store. But it's just the first bit of news :-)

We're finally glad to announce Topatoi: The Pillar of Skies, the second episode of the Topatoi saga!

The world of Topatoi: The Pillar of Skies is absolutely different and a little bit darker in tone from what we've experienced in the first episode, The Great Tree Story. Check out the screenshots, with all those cliffs and machinery. Episode 2 delivers a completely new environment, new enemies and an extended gameplay experience.

As we promised you in our previous post, Topatoi: The Pillar of Skies is actually longer than Topatoi: The Great Tree Story. Our estimates are about 10-plus hours of gameplay in the Arcade Mode that many of you loved in the first episode. Yes, this episode also has 10 bonus levels for Arcade Mode, which can be played alone or with a friend in the cooperative mode!

We're planning to release the add-on...

Video: Kurulin Fusion for PSP Available Today on Sony's PSN

254w ago - MTO USA Marketing's Scott Pelland has revealed that Kurulin Fusion for Sony's PSP is available starting today on PSN, as follows:

Five years ago, I had the pleasure of listening to the music of [Register or Login to view links] at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A.

The concert, entitled Dear Friends-The Music of Final Fantasy, was performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya.

I sat right behind the orchestra and geeked out for the entire performance. So when [Register or Login to view links] asked me to help market their upcoming PSP game featuring Uematsu's music, of course I said I would love to.

Kurulin Fusion turned out to be a cool little game, and what it lacks in Moogles and Chocobos it makes up for with futuristic graphics and a musical score directed by maestro [Register or Login to view links].

But what makes the music even more of an exception is that every song is a variation of a classical composition by Johann Sebastian Bach. Believe me, when you listen to this game's soundtrack you are in the company of giants. Two giants, in fact. With seven tracks and over 40 minutes of heavenly...
