To quote: Thanks to all of your support, Kingdom Hearts has sold more than 20 million units worldwide! In celebration of this, and with absolute pleasure, we're proud to announce that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will launch globally in 2014!

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is the follow-up compilation to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, and will be available exclusively on PS3. It will include the following goodies:

• Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix - previously on PS2 and exclusive to Japan
• Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix - previously on PSP and exclusive to Japan
• Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (HD remastered cinematics)

I'm so excited to be able to see all of these games included as a part of this compilation, but personally, the most exciting title may be Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix.

As many may not have been able to experience its awesomeness, it's truly one of the more phenomenal games, and now completely rebuilt in HD - you'll be able to play it on your big-screen TV for the first time.

59w ago - Zen Studios Community Manager Bobby Loertscher announced that the Zen Pinball: Doctor Strange Table is coming to PSN in December.

To quote: The greatest powers of the occult, both from our own world and the darkest dimensions in existence, are combining their forces to take over Earth. And only one man can stop them - Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme!

With the help of the beautiful Clea and his faithful servant Wong, the Master of the Mystic Arts faces his greatest challenge ever in Doctor Strange pinball, the newest addition to the Marvel Pinball library.

Strange's rival sorcerer Baron Mordo has called upon the demonic forces of the Dread Dormammu and the Fear Lord, Nightmare, all part of his plot to assume the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme for himself. Meanwhile, Shuma-Gorath, the Lord of Chaos, resides in the background with nefarious plans of his own...

Numerous voiceover lines and situations were adapted straight from 50 years of Doctor Strange comic books for this table, including the classic first two issues of DOCTOR STRANGE, SORCERER SUPREME (1988), wherein Dormammu threatened our dimension by overtaking Strange in his own body. Only with carefully cast spells (i.e., deadeye shots from...

59w ago - Square Enix Senior Product Manager Sakura Minamida announced today alongside a video trailer that Drakengard 3 is coming to PlayStation 3 in 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: Drakengard fans, rejoice! We're proud to announce that Drakengard 3 is coming to North America next year for PS3.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Drakengard series, and it's been seven years since the launch of Drakengard 2. Producer Takamasa Shiba is back to bring you along on another incredible and twisted journey.

Never played the original Drakengard? What many people don't know about Drakengard 3 is that it's actually a prequel, and leads up to the events of the original Drakengard. So this game is quite perfect for all fans - new and old.

For all those Square Enix music fans, renowned Composer Keichi Okabe, who scored Nier, joins the Drakengard family, and crafted a beautiful soundtrack for this game. I have to say, the music in Drakengard 3 is amazing. Certainly for me, it's one of the highlights!

Drakengard 3 is coming to PS3 in 2014. You can pre-order now exclusively at the Square Enix store.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts in the comments!

Proteus is Coming to PS3 and PS Vita Soon, New Features Detailed

50°
59w ago - Creator Ed Key announced that Proteus is coming to PS3 and PS Vita soon, and has detailed some new features in the game below.

To quote: You drift towards a pastel island where everything sings as you pass. The sky begins to darken and something in the distance catches your eye...

I'm Ed Key, one of the developers of [Register or Login to view links] along with composer David Kanaga. Proteus came out for the PC and Mac in January 2013 and had a fantastic reception from Edge, Eurogamer, IGN and many more.

For something that started out as a weird experimental project between me and David, this was pretty mind-blowing, and it's even crazier to now have the chance to bring it to PS3 and PS Vita with some brand new features that take advantage of Sony's hardware.

Proteus is something like a constantly-remixing ambient album in the form of an immersive island world. It's all about a particular feeling of wandering through nature alone, taking it in and getting pleasantly lost.

Maybe it's a little bit about magic and mortality too. Don't expect tasks and scores and checklists - perhaps Proteus lurks somewhere on the shady fringes of what it means to be a game.

With the PS Vita and PS3 versions, we've been adding new ways to engage with...

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is Coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita in 2014

50°
60w ago - WayForward Creative Director Matt Bozon confirmed that Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita platforms in 2014.

To quote: Next year, [Register or Login to view links] is bringing the highly animated action adventure series [Register or Login to view links] to PS3, PS4, and PS Vita in the form of a brand new game: [Register or Login to view links]!

Since there's a good chance you're hearing about Shantae for the first time, here's a bit of background. Shantae is the name of the half-genie main character who carves through enemies with her destructive ponytail, and belly dances to transform into mythological creatures, animals, swords... and well, pretty much anything. There aren't many games that include the art of sensual dance as a main game mechanic, but Shantae pulls it off nicely.

The gameplay is best compared to Super Metroid or Castlevania Symphony of the Night, but with the visual styling of WayForward's own Ducktales: Remastered. WayForward puts its traditional feature film style animation in the front row along side rock solid gameplay, which has its roots firmly planted in the 8 and 16 bit era of classic gaming. WayForward's engine moves the...
