Rumor: New PS JailBreak Backup Manager v1.1 Details Surface

211w ago - According to French site Logic-Sunrise.com (linked above) and Spanish Forum [Register or Login to view links] (via ChipSpain and DiscoAzul) the upcoming PS JailBreak Backup Manager v1.1 feature details have surfaced.

OzMods states, to quote: "The final units have been delayed for everyone, not just us. So they should ship to us from China in a couple of days. The delay was due to them coding a new backup manager and locking their device to this manager, so that if anyone tries to clone, they can't use the software."

Below are a few rough translations of what other features are reportedly under development, however, this is only a rumor until officially confirmed of course.

PS JailBreak Backup Manager v1.1 Incoming and More!

211w ago - Today the PS JailBreak team have confirmed via xiaNaix (linked above) that an updated version 1.1 of the Backup Manager is coming soon which will include new features and tweaks.

Previously it was reported that the PS JailBreak delay was due to a component shortage, however, this was also clarified today, to quote:

"They would also like to clarify that the launch delay was not caused by a parts shortage as originally reported. They are finishing their retail packaging and finalizing the new software."

Finally, the PS JaiLBreak team are assisting Australian resellers who were recently a victim of an injunction by Sony, as follows:

"With the recent injunction in Australia, they have decided to stand behind their dealers and distributors with financial support. They have made a sizable donation to both OzMods and Quantronics to help support the cause!"
 

EA Details Medal of Honor's Multiplayer PS3 Beta Feedback

212w ago - EA Community Manager Matthew Pruitt has shared details today on how user feedback helped shape Medal of Honor's Multiplayer PS3 Beta.

To quote: The Medal of Honor beta is now closed and we want to thank you, PlayStation fans, for supporting us! The turnout was tremendous and we could not have asked for a better experience.

It is always great to do a true beta like this, because at the end of the day, this game is for you, the gamers. We received some amazing feedback and opted to extend the beta to make sure that we were able to hear as much of it as we could. Video: More $9.99 PSP Favorites in Time for Back-to-School

213w ago - Sony's Director of Hardware Marketing John Koller has shared a video announcement today on more $9.99 PSP favorites just in time for back-to-school.

To quote: Back in June, we debuted the PSP "Favorites" software line, a value line that brings you a great selection of your favorite PSP titles at an even greater price - $9.99.

We've added more games for you to choose from, some of which are already available now and others that are coming soon, such as Burnout Legends, Capcom Classics Collection: Reloaded, Capcom Classics Collection: Remix, Dark Stalkers: Chaos Tower, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Medal of Honor: Heroes, Sid Meier's Pirates! and many more.

To date, we have nearly 25 PSP "Favorites" available in the library and you can expect this number to grow well into this holiday season. Soon, games included in the PSP Favorites library will have "Favorites" on the packaging. Make sure to look out for it when you're at your local retailer. Video: C4E Hacked New XBox 360 Slim to Run Game Back-ups!

213w ago - This weekend C4E has announced that the new Xbox 360 250GB Model (some call it 360 S or 360 Slim) is has been hacked, the DVD Rom has been patched and it can now run video game back-ups.

Microsoft first unveiled the XBox 360 Slim and 250GB HDD at E3 2010.
