Below are the changes, to quote: This is an updated version of Slime Roll.

Notable changes:

  • The red circles have been removed and replaced with blue ones that are of a consistent size.
  • If slime comes in contact with a blue circle then the blue circle becomes slime.
  • There is on screen text that tells you how many blue circles still exist.
  • When placing slime in the editor you no longer need to press and release the button for each piece of slime.
  • There is a limit to how closely you can place two pieces of slime together in the editor.
  • The same rules for placing slime in the editor also apply to the blue circles.
  • You can now delete whatever object you are pointing at in the editor (instead of only being able to delete the last thing spawned).
  • The X in the editor has been replaced with a proper reticule.
  • There is a slightly nicer title at...

To quote: Here is something "new" that I have been playing with. It's sort of a continuation of a browser based demo I made when HTML5 was the cool new thing and I was still messing around with JavaScript and an HTML5 canvas for the first time.

Currently there is some green stuff that falls down and you can rotate the world to make it fall in a different direction and in doing so you can get the green stuff to navigate the world. There is a built in level editor.

It is just a toy at the moment and a roughly constructed one at that. I will probably do a bit more work on it and make it into a game but I don't know when. I'm not really considering it a very high priority. If you think it's interesting and want to see it improved upon sooner rather then later then let me know.

PS3 controls:

  • Left analog stick = Move the camera
  • L1 and R1 = rotate the camera and the direction of gravity
  • L2 and R2 = zoom the camera in and out
  • X (in the editor) spawn a wall (hold and drag to scale)

To quote: So I'm making a sequel to my top down zombie shooter They Do Not Die. It is being made primarily for PS3 but there will also be a PC version and there may potentially be a Wii port of it later.

This is just a very early build of it but so far the game already features a truly massive procedurally generated city that is populated by human survivors and zombies that you can shoot.

One thing that I have working already that I'm really happy with is the fact that you (the player) are not treated special by the zombie AI. They will gladly ignore you if there is another human that is closer to them. There is something really cool about walking down a street and seeing people being herded by zombies.

There is collision detection that makes you bump into other people and prevents you from walking on water...

New PS3 Games Arrive Requiring 3.56 Firmware, Fixes Surface

750°
182w ago - As expected, history repeats itself and today the inevitable happened with two new PS3 games (Dragon Age II and MLB 11 The Show) arriving that require version 3.56 PS3 Firmware, however, PlayStation 3 hackers have already began work on fixes using the familiar SFO/EBOOT modification methods.

To quote: "The first game, Dragon Age II, isn't due to hit retail shelves until March 8th, but hackers have managed to get their hands on an early leaked copy. After some experimentation, some people have reported success in getting the game to run on 3.55 with a simple modification to the version string in the PARAM.SFO along with a repackaged EBOOT.BIN.

Baseball fans will be disappointed to hear that the second game to require 3.56 is MLB 11 The Show. Like Dragon Age II, The Show isn't supposed to hit stores until March 8th. However, some users are reporting that certain stores have broken that street date and sold copies early. Little examination has taken place yet on MLB 11, so it is still unknown...
