50°
67w ago - Telltale Games Producer Kirsten Kennedy announced new The Walking Dead DLC today, alongside news that the series is coming to PS Vita with Bundle.

To quote: Hey everyone, its E3 week and we hope you're enjoying the excitement as much as we are here at Telltale Games!

I'm Kirsten, Producer on [Register or Login to view links] game series, and as you may have heard during PlayStation's E3 press conference, we're excited to confirm that a brand new episode of The Walking Dead game series is headed to PlayStation Vita!

The Walking Dead: 400 Days is a new chapter (also available as DLC for PlayStation 3 owners on PlayStation Network) in the series chronicling the first 400 Days after the outbreak through the eyes of five all-new characters.

This special episode will allow you to choose a character and play through each of their stories in any order, which are all centered around a truck stop on a Georgia highway. Some decisions you may have made in Season One will affect moments of 400 Days, and while we don't want to give away too much yet, we will say that your decisions in 400 Days will echo into future installments of the series.

Our friends at PlayStation are also announcing The Walking Dead Limited Edition PS Vita Bundle...

Sony Announces Malicious Rebirth is Coming to PlayStation Vita

50°
67w ago - Sony Associate Producer Dais Kawaguchi announced today that Malicious Rebirth is coming to PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Today we have great news for everyone - the long-awaited "Malicious Rebirth," a fast-paced action game for the PS Vita, is coming to PSN later this year.

You will be summoned by the prophets once again to take control of the "Spirit Vessel" in full 3D. You'll be forced to rise to the challenge in order to bring peace back to the Kingdom; the character and stage you select is entirely up to you.

You can jump right into epic boss battles in any order, but remember that bosses in later stages become much more challenging.

You'll also use the Mantle of Cinders to dive, glide, defend and perform various types of attacks. In Malicious Rebirth, there are more levels, bosses and powers to acquire than in the original PS3 version, thus making the Mantle much more powerful!

The key to survival lies in your timing with Aura, which you can use to heal yourself or perform powerful attacks on well-defended bosses, so you'll want to go for chain attacks to acquire Aura quickly.

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing more information so check back frequently. In the meantime, check out our new images and leave your thoughts...

67w ago - Subatomic Studios Marketing & Strategy Manager Alec Shobin has officially announced that Fieldrunners 2: Acclaimed Tower Defense will be hitting PS Vita this Summer.

To quote: Are you ready to defend the world? [Register or Login to view links], the "king of tower defense," storms onto PS Vita this summer.

Everyone at Subatomic Studios is thrilled about launching Fieldrunners 2 on PS Vita! When we brought the original Fieldrunners to PSP back in 2009, we were completely overwhelmed by how much enthusiasm and support you all showed for our game. You folks are awesome, Sony rocks, and that's why we're bringing the biggest tower defense game ever to PS Vita this summer.

In Fieldrunners 2, our aim was to make everything bigger and better, while still respecting our fans as tower defense connoisseurs. We started by building a new game engine, which allows each and every enemy to carve their own unique path through the battlefield.

Drop a tower in front of them? Their relentless waves wrap right around it. Use bridges and tunnels to create a killer choke point? Enemies get caught up in a huge traffic jam.

How will you ever defend yourself against these legions of baddies? With over 25 devious new towers, those fieldrunners don't...

Hands-on with Tearaway: Media Molecule's New PS Vita Adventure

100°
68w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill has gone hands-on today with Media Molecule's new PS Vita adventure game entitled Tearaway below.

To quote: Media Molecule have proven themselves the masters of cuteness and community creativity, constructing a passionate fanbase worldwide through the madly successful LittleBigPlanet series. But what happens when the house that built a Planet sets out to create something completely new?

Maybe I should rephrase that. Their new project, Tearaway, isn't completely outside the studio's comfort zone. It's still adorable, inventive, and a true showcase of its platform's capabilities. Built with PS Vita in mind, Tearaway makes impressive (but not excessive!) use of the integrated camera and rear touchpad to craft a more tactile and immersive world.

Case in point: You'll occasionally come across transparent surfaces marked with PlayStation symbols, an indication that you can interact with that area via PS Vita's rear touchpad.

Sometimes this means tapping on the back of your Vita to beat a drum, which will launch iota or atoi (your fearless paper protagonists) far into the air above. Other times, it means poking your finger straight into the game to protect your companion from incoming enemies, or to move an object that's...
